I just purchased the HEM-711AC from Amazon after reading the positive reviews here. The monitor was a breeze to set up and easy to use. (Make sure you follow the instructions for band placement and how to sit when using so you get an accurate read). The item comes with a nice little carrying case and an AC adapter allowing you to save on the batteries (though it can also use batteries which makes it nice for traveling too). I do recall reading a review or two that mentioned the arm band can squeeze a little tight. I would agree with that a bit. It certainly feels tighter than at the doctor office but it's not so tight that it feels like your arm is going to be hurt from it. Buy with confidence.Customer Review: Poor service but a good poduct

In ordering the product it was listed as being in stock and for a payment of about $13.00 I could have it the next day. As I elected super saving shipping it was not shipped for 8 days. On the interim days I was waiting I was informed I could still get it overnight (so it was still in stock)for a premium payment.
This sort of delayed shipping is inexcusable. These vendors should be banned from sites like Amazon.
But the product is a nice package, very useful and seems to perform as advertised.

I was recently diagnosed with Stage I hypertension and wanted to monitor my blood pressure. I read the reviews of this monitor and decided to take the plunge. Since my arm is larger than 13", I also needed the larger cuff. I would highly recommend both of these items to anyone that needs to monitor their blood pressure. Setup was quick and painless and operation is easy. The only issue I would point out is that the large cuff is very long so it is more difficult to get straight on your arm. One of the nice features is that you can operate it on batteries or from the wall plug. The batteries are needed if you want the monitor to keep your BP history since it can store 60 readings.Customer Review: A very poor product

I bought this product for my elderly mother, so that she could check her blood pressure at home. She was having a lot of trouble with her blood pressure, and her medications were being adjusted. She followed the directions very carefully. The readings that she got were extremely high and alarmed both her doctor and her. She had to make multiple trips to the office as a result of these readings. She brought the machine with her, to show the doctor how high it was reading, and each time, when he checked it with his machine it was much lower. It is obviously defective, and she contacted the manufacturer several times and got no response. I would recomend not buying this product.Customer Review: Blood Pressure Monitor

We bought a blood pressure monitor at a local drug store and had problems with accuracy.(another brand)We sent it back and they sent us a new one but we seemed to have the same problem. I saw a review for blood pressure monitors in Consumer reports where this one we purchased at Amazon was mentioned as one of the top rated models so I decided to order one, which by the way was on sale. So far it seems fine. Readings seem to match what we get at the doctor's office.
