I bought myself the 711 AC and rated it 4 1/2 stars. The 712 is about $8 cheaper, maybe more. I had the 711 checked by medical staff and they found it to be accurate. My internist only recommended five BP Cuffs,
three being Omron. This is the best deal. Easy to use. Takes up little
space. Accurate. Fits smoothly on most biceps with the regular cuff.
Reliable. This can easily last 5-8 years and stay accurate. Operates on
battery or AC. I highly recommend this basic model for anyone who
believes in preventive health care or wants to monitor their own health

The product is easy to use and functional. It has memories(with date, hour and minutes) to keep past records(for systolic, diasystolic and pulse) for 21(or so) times, so, you can take it to doctor to show him/her as evidence and review together, because quite often Bld. Prs. taken at doctors office records much higher than that taken at home, like first thing in the morning. So, you can compare your records and doctors office's for medicines/dose (take half portion of a tablet, or double, etc.). The OMRON HEM-712C Auto Blood Pressure monitor with IntelliSense is a great tool for home use. I am an RN & used to have the old style wrap around pump-up type for use with a stethescope. My husband needs BP monitoring at home & this set is easy to use, pumps up automatically,requires NO stethescope, gives accurate readings, has memory for recording & a lay person can do it for themselves. The price is highly affordable, & home-monitoring gives a better "read" of true BP than A DR's Office or public monitoring station. Finding it on Amazon & ordering it from there was very easy & convenient, also.Customer Review: convenient but not accurate

My doctor recommended that I get a blood pressure monitor so I did, but I soon discovered that the lack of accuracy makes it virtually useless. Readings jump all over the place. I would take a measurement, sit a minute, repeat it -- and get a totally different reading. Repeat again a minute later with another random number. I took it to the doctor who confirmed that it is useless. I returned it and got another -- and it worked just the same. If you do get one of these, test it before you begin believing the numbers. Perhaps my two came from a bad batch and you'll have a better experience.Customer Review: None too accurate

I thought I was having fluctuating blood pressure issues, so I ordered one of these to keep tabs on it. Well, it came in, I read the manual and set it up. My first reading was so high that I thought I was going to die in about ten minutes if I didn't get medical care. So, read the manual again, try again. Better, but still VERY bad. I make an appointment with my doctor, take my pressure with it right before I leave and it's still bad. My doctor checked it and it was normal. Lesson learned. You can't get accuracy at this price. I sent it back. Your mileage may vary.
