Encouraging to finally see that these items are becoming affordable, since every household should have one. Purchased this since the cuff on our previous unit was wearing out, and the plastic was turning yellow. Keep in mind if you purchase this unit, batteries are needed. Apparently, I didn't read that in the description, but after using it, I'm happier without a cord. The unit is compact, quiet when operating, and has the wonderful feature of a memory, so one can review the dates of previous readings. This is a very helpful feature when monitoring blood pressure problems. I have only had this machine for a short time, but I am pleased with the design, function and affordable price.Customer Review: Omron HEM-712

I would rate this monitor's performance as excellant. It is easy to use
and has very good repeatability. The display is easy to read and batteries are lasting a long time. It offers alot for a low price.

This product surpassed all of my expectations. I used to use a wrist type monitor which was very erratic and not reliable. I highly recomend this product
