This is reasonably priced and highly functional. As a nurse I purchased this for my husband when he developed high blood pressure. He a non medical person can take he own blood pressure nightly with ease.
Draw back is it did not work on my arm well. I have a flabby arm and it read error over and over even though this is the "xlarge cuff". SO i had to have a third party apply the cuff to get a reading at all.

I have never needed a blood pressure monitor before, however I have used them for my grand mother. Then after my auto accident I needed to monitor my BP. This is the easiest system to use, just place the cuff on and press start. It is nice that it keeps a 30 use history. It keeps all the info, your BP, pulse, date, time. Also it senses wether or not your pulse is regular or if you have a murmur. This is great.Customer Review: Mostly pleased with monitor

I bought this item because I'm a pretty big guy and needed a cuff that would fit me as well as my wife. My wife has suffered a stroke and needs to monitor her blood pressure twice a day. The monitor works very well when I use it, but my wife has trouble getting the cuff to fit and sometimes gets errors. The monitor is very fast, getting a reading within two minutes and I consider it very accurate.Customer Review: The pressure is (right) on!

This, as are all the Omron monitors, is a great machine. The one touch operation is easy. Also the irregular heartbeat function is a good thing to have, though I hope I never get one. The advanced averaging technology can give you an overall health indication. Lastly, the oversized cuff on this model saved me from having to buy a separate one. Overall another winner!! While this product seems to give accurate results, it requires a second person to place the cuff properly. After trying dozens of times to secure the cuff in the position described in the manual (1/2 above elbow with arrow pointing towards the middle finger) I finally had to call a friend to come over and do it for me.
Since this is not practical I am returning the item.
