Customer Reviews of Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer for Aerobic ActivityCustomer Review: About as good as it gets for the casual walker Summary: 4 Stars
I recently set a goal for myself to walk at least 10,000 (5 miles) a day. I'm sure a $2 crappy pedometer would have done the job, but I am so glad I got this one instead. I love all the information it gives you (moderate steps, calories, distance, etc), and I especially love that it stores information for the previous 7 days. I never need to remember to check my pedometer or write anything down at the end of the day.
The only bummer is that it only stores total steps for the previous 7 days, and not any of the other info (like moderate steps, distance, etc). But it's hardly something that would stop me from recommending it to others!
Customer Review: easy & reliable Summary: 5 Stars
I own about 35 of these that I use for research projects. I study older people, so they (people age 65-100) are actually the ones using the pedometers and so far, I have had few complaints. For the price, these can't be beat. They are very reliable and have a very long battery life; I've had some for nearly 3 years now and still no problems. They come ready to go, the hardest part is removing them from the packaging. Once you read the instructions, you will see it is very easy to set up and use. You don't need small equipment like some people are saying, a ballpoint pen works just fine to access the small setup buttons located on the back.
Customer Review: LOVE it! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this in an attempt to up my walking regiment. I have started a virtual walk to my friends place in North Carolina and I wanted to be sure to get all my mileage in! It is so easy to use! I love that I don't have to reset it each day. That makes it very convenient! It's also very accurate. I can trust that the number of steps I walked is correct. It stays on pretty well (except when bumped by a diaper bag!) and is very durable. Some days, I forget I'm wearing it!
My only wish is that I could set the stride length on it. I am quite short and have a shorter stride length than the average. But overall, fantastic!
Customer Review: Best pedometer on the market Summary: 5 Stars
The Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer is GREAT for gaining inspiration and awareness of your daily activity level. The amount of walking you do on the job, shopping, running errands can add up to better health and counts as a easy, productive exercise. It is more affordable and easier than others which have fewer features ; also, it records in steps and miles, keeps a seven day walking diary, and is very simple to operate. Click top button to review today and the last seven days of your daily miles/steps. Click the (ll:00) button to convert from steps to miles. Wear it on the top band of your underwear to better ensure safe keeping.
Customer Review: Awesome Pedometer Summary: 5 Stars
I purchase 30 of these pedometers for a promotion we were doing at work to encourage walking. They were such a hit that they were all gone the first day. I shopped all day in our local stores trying to find anything comparable and was unsuccessful. The ones I purchased locally broke within a week, fell off of belts, and are just plain generic considering they cost more. The Omron pedometer has stayed put through the most challenging of circumstances, calculate calories and miles, and even hold 7 days of history. They are perfect. I have since purchased another box of these for our employees and a spare for myself...just in case.
