I bought this product to keep track of my walking and running on days I don't go to the gym. Trying to keep healthy and stay active. I found it very easy to use. The power down mode that turns the dispaly off to save the battery is very efficient. You just have to tap the mode button to turn the display on. Display is easy to read. The step count and total miles has been very accurate. However, when using the eleptycal equiptment at the gym, while accurately counting steps, it does not record it as "moderate". It does record walking briskly outside and on the treadmill as moderate. The safety clip is great to prevent loss. I have found it works on a belt and in my pocket. Would highly recommend it for accuracy, ease of use, easy to read and efficient.

GOsmartT Pedometers by Omron feature Smart Sense technology. Instead of using a simple pendulum mechanism (the clicking you hear on most pedometers), GOsmartT pedometers use advanced acceleration sensors. These sensors know exactly when you are taking a step and filter out non-walking movements so you know your count is accurate.
The new GOsmartT Tri-Axis Pocket Pedometer (HJ-303) is the most advanced GOsmartT pedometer - it can be used at any angle even flat! Use in a pocket, purse/bag or on the hip in any direction.
The precision of the step counting is within +/- 5%.
The HJ-151 and HJ-303 GOsmartT pedometers separately displays the steps and minutes walked at a moderate pace, 90 steps or more per minute.
The HJ-303 uses 1 lithium battery (Included) that last with normal use for about 6 months. Package measures 3" x 1 3/8" x 1/2" inches (L x W x H) and weighs 1.0oz (battery included).
