Customer Review: Decent But Has A Few Flaws...

I also own the HJ-112. The HJ-303, unlike the HJ-112 does not have a reset button to clear all the data on the fly, rather you must wait until midnite for it to automatically reset all data. Very annoying. Also, the distance is given as XX.X, as opposed to the HJ-112 which will give you XX.XX. Having said that, the HJ-303 does have a sleep mode after 5 minutes that the HJ-112 does not, which will give better battery life. HJ-303 has aerobic movement starting after 4 seconds as opposed to 10 minutes with the HJ-112. The HJ-303 claims tri-axis but I find it stops counting while holding it horizontally in my hand to occasionally look at the data while walking. All things considered, I like the HJ-112 better and it sells for much less than the HJ-303.Customer Review: AWESOME!

This is by far the BEST pedometer I have ever owned and I have owned ALOT!! First off I like this one because it doesn't have to be clipped to your belt. You can just throw it in your pocket! It works at ANY angle and I have found it to be very accurate! Because it's digital you don't have that little tick tick noise everytime you make a move. And what I think is amazing is that it won't count steps that aren't there! Like when I'm driving in the car it won't count every little bump! Also, you can reset for specific trips during the day but it won't reset the entire days count..it adds it on! I have not yet found anything I do not like about this pedometer! This pedometer does everything it is advertised to do, including features I don't need. I use the "Trip" feature, which can be reset for each walk using "Clr." The pedometer also resets its daily counts to zero at midnight automatically. This is helpful for people who just throw this in their pocket and just check it once every few days. This unit has a very consistent step count, and, after setting the stride distance to 32" seems to be very close to the actual distance I measured with a GPS. Once set, the calorie count is consistently about 10% higher than I measured with a heartrate monitor, but that's close. It has a handy clip to attach it to clothing and a leash to protect it from falling off.Customer Review: Excellent pedometer

This is an awesome product! Here's what I like best about it:
1) Small and Comfortable, as it fits into any pocket. It can also be clipped on to one's belt, if desired.
2) Accurate, no matter which direction the pedometer is facing -- even if it's bouncing around freely in a pocket.
3) Shows the time and how many minutes that one has been truly exercising. This way, you can see the difference between casual walking and your fitness time.
Disadvantages:
- For this price, I was a bit surprised to see that it doesn't transfer its stats to the computer.
- The battery life expectancy is approximately 6 months, instead of a full year.

I have both the omron 720it (computer downloadable) and hj 112...both are extremely accurate and easy to use...this revision of the pedometer concept is terrific...small but large numbers...easy to set and use...it really does work in any position...the display blanks out to save power so it is inconvenient to constantly be looking at it...still not much of a problem...i checked it against my other omrons and it's within 0.7%...it keeps better track of aerobic activity than the others (they only record after 10 min of activity...the hj 303 after 4 seconds)...overall, the size (small) and accuracy and ease of use make this pedometer an outstanding device for walking or running.
