As someone who has history of expensive dental bills from multiple cavities from a lack of proper oral care, I decided to invest some money in to maintaining my health. A year ago I went to dentist and was told that I had 9 cavities from 1) not brushing long enough/at night and from not flossing. My dentist suggested that I invest in an electric toothbrush to prevent future and more expensive issues such as the ones at which I was diagnosed. Although the dentist suggested a toothbrush along the lines of $100+ dollars, which I definitely could not afford, I opted for this Oral-B Rechargeable one with the dual clean brush heads for about $80 dollars less.
I have used this product (and brush head in particular) for about 9 months and after recently going to the dentist for a cleaning that was 3 months overdue, I am happy to report that 1) I have no new cavities or other new dental issues 2)there was almost no tartar build up on my teeth (even along/beneath the gum line), even though I was 3 months late for a cleaning. I attribute this to primarily using this brush.
Although these brush heads may seem expensive to replace, if you think about the hundreds or even thousands of dollars you may pay on dental bills, it's worth it. Please note that the head is kind of large, making it difficult to close your mouth around it, thus resulting in some drooling. The timer is helpful in knowing how long you should brush, it vibrates 2-3 times when it's been two minutes and continues afterward. However, if you press the timer brush, it will reset not pause.
