Customer Reviews of Oral-B Triumph 9900 Toothbrush with Smart GuideCustomer Review: Best one so far Summary: 5 Stars
I've now owned a few of these Oral B products. I've never been a fan of the electric tooth brushes but about a year ago I was introduced to this oral B collection and bough the 8850, it revolutionized the cleaning of my teeth, I was blown away with how great and fresh my mouth felt after using this. I work overseas so by default travel considerably. I have since purchased the 8850 for my family back home and for some close friends where I'm at. I just upgraded to the 9900 and I'm extremely pleased with this product. If you have never used any of the brushes from Oral B, you do not know what clean teeth feel like. If you do decided on these products, I would recommend staying towards the high end products. For you overseas buyers like my self, this brush is dual voltage...
Customer Review: Works, until it starts fogging up, then dies. Summary: 1 Stars
I like the Braun/Oral-B toothbrushes, but this model needs more design work. The first one allowed water to get inside the unit, making the clear display fog up like a cheap watch. This continued until one day, well past the warrant period, the unit just quit working.
Figuring the leaking was a fluke, I bought another, which started leaking and fogging up within about a month. I'm trying to get in touch with Oral-B, but they have a horrible web site that makes it difficult to email them. No matter, I'll figure that part out.
So anyway, having bought two of them with the exact same problem, "fool me twice, shame on me" applies, and while hanging my head in shame, I'm off to find something else comparable, that isn't made by Oral-B.
Customer Review: GREAT Product Summary: 5 Stars
This toothbrush is amazing. I didn't think it would work as well as it does. My teeth felt instantly cleaner. It has removed the plaque in all those hard to reach places. It is definitely better than a manual toothbrush. I haven't been to the dentist since I started using it, but am curious to see if he notices a difference too. My teeth always look and feel shiny and clean, like I just got back from the dentist. I would recommend an electric toothbrush to everyone. The only complaint is the charge doesn't hold as long as the box says (2 weeks). But I can deal with that, it's not that big of a deal.
I purchased a second toothbrush as a present and he loves it too. He noticed the difference immediately also.
Customer Review: Big display and convientent base station / accessories Summary: 5 Stars
It's got a big display that easily mounted to the mirror in the bathroom so I can see it to know if I am brushing too hard and to see the timer.
It is not too heavy, just right. The carrying case is well constructed and has room for two brush heads.
The base has room for four brush heads under the clear cover and was easy to put together, just took a minute. the charging cord has a Velcro loop on it to make the cord nice and neat. the plug is very slender as well so it only occupies one outlet(it sticks out two to three inches) - not like other wall warts.
It has four modes and the brush starts out in the correct mode for the brush head you have attached which is a nice feature.
Customer Review: Great Toothbrush Summary: 5 Stars
I have to admit that I was nervous to spend this kind of cash on a toothbrush, but I figured that it was cheaper to buy this than pay to fill cavities or have a root canal.
The smartguide screen lets you know exactly how long you've been brushing. and even has a neat little light that goes on if you brush too hard. That was great for me, since I had a habit of brushing way too hard and my dentist told me that my gums were already beginning to recede from it.
I've never had an electric toothbrush, and you have to get used to the feeling. But now, after several days of using it, it's hard to imagine going back to a manual toothbrush!
Bottom line: Expensive but worth it.
