Customer Reviews of Oral-B Vitality Dual Clean Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush (Colors May Vary)Customer Review: Excellent power tooth brush for a great price!! Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this tooth brush several months ago after using a battery operated tooth brush for some time. Wow, what a difference!! The ease of brushing, because of the dual motion heads, is awesome. My teeth feel like I've been to the dentist office. I love the 2 min. timer~~makes it easy to know when you've brushed long enough, as it's easy to overbrush because of the great feeling you experience when brushing. I'm not crazy about the placement of the timer/on/off button, however. It's easy to accidentally click the toothbrush off while brushing, and then your timer has to start over. And I'm very pleased with the power and charge as long as I keep the tooth brush plugged in and charging when not in use. It has come unplugged before (kids!) and didn't hold a charge for very long. Overall this is an Excellent toothbrush, for an Excellent price...if you're still brushing manual, you don't know what you're missing!! Try it!!
Customer Review: Oral B Vitality D12513P Dual Clean Power Toothbrush Summary: 5 Stars
This toothbrush is the best! My dog destroyed my previous toothbrush, a more expensive Oral-B I had for years (I was packing for a trip; he got hold of it and thought it was a chew toy). So I bought this one out of curiousity, to see what I'd get for under $20.
To my surprise, it is as good if not better than the more expensive one I owned. I don't know what difference there is between this and the $80 or $90 models they now sell, but this is very powerful, and the dual clean brush just totally cleans your teeth, much more thoroughily than the smaller, rounder brush that Braun has had out for years.
The only thing is that I wish it had some sort of a cover for the brush when not in use. But there are enough little plastic tops around (such as those clear ones for squirt hair spray, for example) that can be used to cover the brush and protect it from dust or whatever.
Customer Review: Great toothbrush Summary: 5 Stars
This is actually a very nice and affordable toothbrush. It really does clean much better than a non-electric brush and its not as expensive as the other fancy toothbrushes out there. Being not specific to this product, one concern I have regarding electric toothbrushes with mechanical spin heads is that they might be harming the old fillings. I had to have two of my fillings replaced after using this toothbrush for 6 months (however its hard to say if the reason was the toothbrush or something else). My dentist told me that it shouldn't affect the fillings but it really does apply some force on the teeth so I am still suspicious. However, my hygienist had a really difficult time finding tartars after I started using this toothbrush. I currently use one machine (with two heads) together with my wife and the battery seems to hold well for back-to-back brushings 3 times a day.
Customer Review: Preliminary review Summary: 4 Stars
I've only had this less than a month and that's isn't near long enough to really comment. So far it is very good. I got the bigger brush and this one is faster than the one I had before. One thing I learned with the other Oral-B is that if you put the holder on the charger with the toothbrush attached it will drip water onto the charger and eventually corrode the base away and the machine will fail. I remove the toothbrush, put it into a small glass, then use my towel to wipe the holder dry. That eliminates the problem.
The price has come down since I first bought this. Many years ago the first one was at least $60 and the brushes were $8 each for 3 at wallyworld. But they are greatly superior to the traditional brush. My dentist commented how clean my teeth were, especially around the rear teeth where the traditional hand longitude brush couldn't reach.
Customer Review: makes brushing molars a breeze Summary: 5 Stars
I got this on a recommendation from my dentist. She did not recommend a specific brand, but after reviewing the Amazon reviews and considering the dual cleaning aspects of this power brush- and of course the cost! - I decided to give it a try. I also looked at the various types at Target and after checking the price at Amazon, it was as usual cheaper at $17. It's been a month now and all I can say is it works exactly as promised and brushing has actually been faster. It enables me to better get to the back teeth which is why the dentist recommended an electric brush. There just seems no way you can match the same amount of brush strokes this thing puts out and now I can clean the back teeth as good as the front. I highly recommend this and from what I can tell, it does the job just as good as the $100 versions, but at a much more affordable price.
