I have a teenage daughter that has/had major anxiety when it comes to pills. She absolutely REFUSED to swallow any type of pill. We had tried many techniques, even at an early age & nothing worked. Even during her menstrual cycle she would take children's liquid ibuprofen or just suffer with the effects of horrible cramping, rather than taking a pill. Recently, she was prescribed pills as a way to combat acne. Thinking that would be enough of a motivator to swallow a pill, but alas it was not. She had a major melt down. Desperate not to waste our money on prescriptions already paid for, we searched the internet & found this cup. It was worth a try & she seemed excited. When it arrived the anxiety began again. She had a meltdown, but after leaving to her own accord she took the bull by the horns & used this cup! AMAZING!!! She swallowed her very first pill & was so proud of herself!! She says you can not feel the pill in your throat at all & that it is like taking a swig of water!! I am so glad for her! I only wish I had it a few years ago when we spent $100's of $$ on pills that went to waste. Oh well, we have it now!!!Customer Review: Does not work for younger kids

When I saw this cup I thought GREAT! No more having to open up pills and mix them up in food, potentially diluting their strength. Not to mention, there is always a little bit of food left over no matter how well you try to scrape it out. So still not getting the complete and full dose. So received this cup and my 4 year old was actually excited to try it. We looked at the pictures and saw how to do it. Well, she refused to do it. After lots of crying and screaming I finally got her to try it first, without the pill. Then when we added the pill in she took a swallow and then spit the pill back out and started crying. She could still feel the pill and it was "yucky". So that was with water. I next tried it with juice. Let her taste just the juice first so she would get the hang of swallowing out of the cup. And then when I tried putting the pill in the same thing happened and she spit it out and lots of crying and hysterics. I give up. Don't waste your money purchasing this cup for a younger child.Customer Review: Not Easy...Not for kids

I ordered this cup for my 6 yr old for help with swallowing capsules. The item came as pictured and described. The spout looks and acts like a spaghetti strainer - restricting the flow of water so that you have to really suck to get to the liquid, which is not where the problem lies.
The cup came with an additional instruction sheet in big bold letters - stating: the cup must remain dry - thoroughly dry the cup - lift cup gently - do not get the lid wet.
This is the problem.
The pill sticks to the lid, and does not flow into your mouth. I tried it with my vitamin, and had to tilt and shake the cup as I drank - much like a dog with a new chew toy - to get it to go down. My 6 yr old tried valiantly ...without success. I would not recommend this product for kids, or adults without a sense of humor.

The review title says it all---this cup is AMAZING! After I attempted to swallow two large vitamins at work on my lunchbreak, I spent the rest of the day praying that the pill I could still feel in my throat would clear up & go down. It was then that I realized I had a significant problem, and if I wanted to keep taking the vitamins I loved, I should research some tips on how to swallow them easily. After searching around on the internet, I came across the Oralflo pill swallowing cup. I ordered it from their website & it arrived very quickly. Suffice to say, it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! If you have issues with swallowing large pills & vitamins, do yourself a HUGE favor and buy this cup---it's worth every penny, you won't regret it!Customer Review: Great Invention

"I received the Oralflo Pill cup 2 days after ordering it and it is amazing!!! Even as a child I had problems swallowing large pills and tried everything including buttering the pills to cutting them into smaller pieces. With this cup I had no problem swallowing even the largest of my vitamin pills without them hanging up in the back of my throat and causing me to gag. The flow of water along with the pill eliminated the problem. I highly recommend it especially for older adults and children. A great invention and well worth the money!!!!!"
