I bought this pillow for my toddler son, it fits perfectly in the toddler sized pillow case. He loves it and so do I. When it's time to buy a new pillow for myself I will by the adult sized one. My husband finds the pillow a little hard but he can always take some of the buckwheat out to make it softer. So yes the pillow is more on the firm side, which my son and I like. I took this pillow on a 3 week trip around India and slept like a baby everywhere. Indian beds are hard but their pillows are super large and unyeilding. Note: I took a little of the buckwheat husks out of the pillow to make it a little more flexible. Now I am using the same pillow on my own bed. I probably won't ever use any other pillow for my head. If one is looking for a natural pillow filler which has little or no chemicals and likes it to be very, very firm - as I do - this is the right one. The buckwheat has a sound to it as it moves around that is soothing to me. If you buy such a pillow just don't expect it to be like the pillows you know or you might be dissapointed.
I like the product. It might not have to be filled quiet that tight.
