I was super excited to try this shampoo & conditioner. It smelled fantistic, I loved that it was actually good for your hair, etc. etc. I was very disappointed. I had to use a ton of it to feel like it was actually cleaning my hair. The formula is sulfate free & paraben free and that always seems to make the shampoo not lather as much, but I figured the pros outweighed the cons so I kept trying it. I happen to have medium length, incredibly thick hair, and because there wasn't much lathering power, I felt like I had to use 3 times as much as I regularly use. Same with the conditioner - or rather, I don't think the conditioner even worked at all. I really felt like I was using a ton of it each time I tried.
I don't know why, but it took FOREVER to dry my hair. I dry and flat iron my hair everytime I wash it and this was just ridiculous. I've used shampoos that do make my hair noticibly longer to dry, but this was something else all together. It really took soooooo long that I almost contemplated jumping back in the shower and re-washing my hair and just wearing it curly.
Once I finally got it dry, it felt heavier and oilier than normal. And I didn't put any other products in it at all. I try to wash my hair every other day or every third day so it doesn't dry out (and because it's a pain to blow dry), but my head felt so heavy and greasy that when I used this shampoo, I had to wash every day. I just didn't love it. And the delicious smell? No traces of it once my hair was dry.
It may be good for your hair, but it wasn't worth the trouble for me. For the price, there are much better options available. If you have thick hair - be carefeul, because it might take you a long time to blow out your hair after using this shampoo.
