I decided when the last pair of cheap $20 clippers from Wal-Mart kicked the bucket, that it was an end to cheap clippers. To kick off this resolution, I bought the Oster 76 Classic and couldn't be happier. Giving a haircut used to be something I avoided, it would take repeat passes with the overheating clippers to make sure all the hair was precisely cut. With the Oster 76, it's not a problem. Every hair is cut the first time, every time. It's definitely a premium and professional grade clipper that cuts my own head when I got to the barber. I definitely look forward to many years of great use and hundreds of haircuts with the Oster 76.Customer Review: What have I been buzzing my hair with all these years...

Don't confuse this product with the Wahl and Conair buzzers you may have bought from the drugstore. It's a totally different tool. Very durable, easy to use, fantastic quality, worth every penny. Don't expect the "buzz" sound as you cut your hair, it just cuts. Also, I found it much easier to handle than some of the reviews suggested.
Few cons: wish it came with a blade that was between the two that came with the buzzer, so will probably have to buy a new size. Minor nit - the product is actually dark "blood" red, not bright red as the picture may lead you to believe.
Overall, highly recommended.

Real quick- I researched high and low and finally bought the Oster 76076-010 Classic 76 clippers about 2 years ago and they are fantastic.
Yes, they are over $100, but they are worth every dollar. Don't waste money on cheap models that will wear out too soon.
I use the clippers every week to trim my own hair and I'm quite satisfied. I decided to write a review as I'm about to buy a few more attachments as I will also trim my dog (or at least try) instead of paying $100 every time he gets a bath and haircut. I'll update this review at a later point and give the low down on that experiment...

Received this thing as a gift and I've never gotten a better one. I've been shaving my head using them wussy products you get at Target or Wal-mart or whatever for about ten years. I now consider all of them years a waste of my life. You can hear the difference the moment you turn it on, it means business and it lets you know. This thing works so well I sometimes shave 2 or 3 times a week with it. Keep your enemies close and your hair closer. Buy this thing now. I came here to buy the 00000 blade just for the fun of it and decided to leave a review. I love this product and so will you.Customer Review: Best set of clippers I have ever had

I have been cutting my hair since I was in Jr. High School (over 20 years), and the Oster Classic 76 is by far the best set of clippers I have ever owned. I have gone through several cheaper pairs of clippers (i.e. Wahl which you can purchase at Target or Walmart) over the years. The Oster Classic 76 makes fading very easy, and there is no vibration in the unit. I wish I would have purchsed this unit so much earlier on in my life. Definitely worth the money, especially if you cut/fade your hair every week or 2 weeks (salon charges $55 a cut and Super Cut charges +-/ $20 a cut).
