I used to use the $50 pair of clippers and they would last about a year or so. But they always got clogged up and they were a pain to clean.
Now that I have the Classic 76 clipperws, I will never own another pair. The quick disconnect blade is so perfect for cleaning and switch lengths in a flash. I use the to cut my hair and my beard. They stay cool and pretty quiet compared to my cheap pair I had. Since the brushes in the motor are replaceable, these clippers should last me for a VERY long time.

No doubt professional quality. The clippers I had before would struggle to cut thick hair, but these guys don't tug or pull at all. You could probably trim the hedges with these things. On the down side, you will need to purchase additional blades or plastic guards since only two blades come with the set. Also the clippers are rather large and bulky, which is a little awkward at first. Overall I would recommend this product if you are looking for a reliable heavy duty clipper and don't mind the extra size and weight.Customer Review: Excellent ... Top of the Line

Best ever Clipper I've ever used, and I've been using clippers (this is my third) for over 8 years. Excellent product ... cuts through my sons' hair like a hot knife slicing through soft butter. Surprisingly quiet ... this had been one of my few concerns based on prior reviews ... not to worry. Feels a little heavy after a while, but is nicely balanced and does heat up quite a bit after continuous use (15-20 minutes); but again, not that big a deal. With my husband in the military and my son wanting the same haircut as his dad, we've gone through many sets of drug store clippers. The last haircut with those was awful. The clippers were ripping the hair off my son's head. So, I gritted my teeth and paid for these. I don't regret it at all. They are wonderful! I also got the universal comb attachments and I can give my son a great 'High Regulation' haircut with ease! i recently trashed my Remington clippers that I bought from Amazon, they worked for a short period of time, then totally quit. Made in China of course, wish Amazon would display where all of the products that they offer are manufactured, I have thrown away more made in China crap than I care to remember. These clippers show up the other day, heavy, which is good, soundly constructed, will more than likely work till I'm way past the need for them, and made in the USA. Kudos to Oster!
