Bought this Oster Fast Feed Clipper to try and see if I could cut my hair at home. After two months and two cutting sessions, I'm a believer that I will never pay for a haircut again. The clippers are solid and sturdy and cut easily, efficiently, and quietly. I only wish they were cordless and not as heavy, however, other quality clippers aren't any better in those areas. The included attachments leave much to be desired as only four are included, however, I also purchased the Oster 10 Piece Universal Comb Set which made this product complete. The only other minor complaint is the lack of a case for the clippers. Nonetheless, this product allows me to cut my hair any time, any way desired, and in the comfort of my own home.Customer Review: Hot knife thru butter - thick hair

I have really, really thick hair and over the years have gone thru several electric hair clippers. Usually the blades get dull real quick or the motor is insufficient. I finally got tired of going thru the routine, and decided to do some research on clippers. I didn't really want to go high end/professional as those units can get real expensive. So I found this unit, borderline professional, and reasonably priced.
Great motor and very sharp blades, it cut my hair like a hot knife going thru butter. the time it took was cut in half! Only thing to keep in mind is this unit doesn't come with the usual attachments. But if you keep your hair short, than the ones that do come with, are perfect.

The oster fast feed is indeed a good clipper but isn't nearly worth the $60 it generally costs. If you're looking to give yourself a short buzz cut but not a skin tight one, you only have the blender guide comb as your only comb. The other 3 combs are way too large to be of any use. In terms of of quality of cutting, it's good considering that this clipper has a pivot motor. But this quality of cutting is certainly nothing out of the ordinary. Hence, for $60, you are indeed not getting your largest bang for your buck. Not when there are other solid pivot motor hair clippers around that go for around $30. One example would be the Andis speedmaster pivot motor hair clipper which is just as good but costs half the price!Customer Review: Built with Quality and Value

I have been cutting my own hair since I was a kid. I have owned many different types of clippers, all from Wal-Mart, and they just do not compare to the quality that these clippers have. These clippers are a little more expensive, but the value that is received by the solidness of the design, the power in the motor, and the cleaner cut is well worth the extra money. Also, as stated above, I have owned many clippers, and the reason why I have owned so many is because they were all junk. If I added up all the cheap clippers that I bought it would well exceed the cost of these clippers. So, this is what the old timers meant when they used to talk about the quality of something built in the USA.Customer Review: Good Sturdy Set of Clippers

It's immediately clear when you hold these clippers, that they're high quality. The power cord is meaty and has a 3-prong plug, the blades are stout and sharp, and while not heavy, they have a nice solid feel to 'em.
The height adjuster seems to allow about twice as much movement as any other clippers I've used - good for getting tapers nice and even for guy's cuts. There's no adjustment knob to keep the blade chatter down, which I like, since I've always been annoyed by trying to keep the blades quiet while cutting. On the noise front, these don't make half as much noise as any other clippers I've used. Just a nice low hum, which sounds powerful to me - like they're V8 powered.
