I ordered the oster pro 76023-510 fast feed clippers to replace failing wahl clippers that I have used for 12+ years. They do not seem as powerful and pulled my sons hair so many times that I said if it pulls one more time I will send them back. They did not pull anymore that hair cut so I figured I would give them another chance. As for their quietness.... they are quieter to the operator but not to the one getting the hair cut. they are rather loud once they are against you head. they just have a nice hum to the one cutting.
They did come with height adapters but they are cheap and maybe part of the reason for the pulling. they don't seem to slide well and scratch your head.
To sum it up the clippers do feel professional as their name suggests but they do not cut professional. and they are not fast feed by any means. they can't go half as fast as my old clippers.
I will keep trying them because I don't want to have to go through a return process, I hope there is just some sort of learning curve with a new pair of clippers.

The oster fast feed is indeed a good clipper but isn't nearly worth the $60 it generally costs. If you're looking to give yourself a short buzz cut but not a skin tight one, you only have the blender guide comb as your only comb. The other 3 combs are way too large to be of any use. In terms of of quality of cutting, it's good considering that this clipper has a pivot motor. But this quality of cutting is certainly nothing out of the ordinary. Hence, for $60, you are indeed not getting your largest bang for your buck. Not when there are other solid pivot motor hair clippers around that go for around $30. One example would be the Andis speedmaster pivot motor hair clipper which is just as good but costs half the price!Customer Review: Hot knife thru butter - thick hair

I have really, really thick hair and over the years have gone thru several electric hair clippers. Usually the blades get dull real quick or the motor is insufficient. I finally got tired of going thru the routine, and decided to do some research on clippers. I didn't really want to go high end/professional as those units can get real expensive. So I found this unit, borderline professional, and reasonably priced.
Great motor and very sharp blades, it cut my hair like a hot knife going thru butter. the time it took was cut in half! Only thing to keep in mind is this unit doesn't come with the usual attachments. But if you keep your hair short, than the ones that do come with, are perfect.

I have been complaining so long about having to cut my significant other's hair with a crappy shaver and attachment that he has, that I finally decided to get something better. These work great! No more little pieces of hair sticking out on his freshly cut head to go back over and try to see and cut! My only complaint would be to have a wider assortment of attachments for more varied cut lengths. But that is minor in comparison to how much easier the clipping of his hair is now. I should have gotten this a long time ago!
