The Oster Stim-U-Lax truly is a professional grade massager, it is heavy duty with high quality construction. I own a few Oster products that were purchased at least 20 years ago and they still work like new. It appears that the quality of Oster's products is still top notch if my new Stim-U-Lax is any indication. I got tired of buying the cheap plastic drugstore massagers that you can barely feel or that burn out in a year. A friend of mine owned a Oster and let me try it out, after just one use I was sold on it and ordered one of my own. If there is any downside to the unit is that is a bit heavy, but I only have to use it for few minutes to get the pain relief I need for my bad neck. The cheap massagers took at least three times as long to get to the same level of relief if they could even get to that pain relief level at all. It is an expensive unit, but it should last for many years if not decades and it will pay for itself in the long run by not having to replace it for the forseeable future.
