I think I have tried almost EVERY diaper there is and thus far...Pampers is always #1 to me and my husband as well as our children who have to wear them. We find that our experience with Pampers is much better than the other brands available. Tried Luvs (same as Pampers Baby Dry but a cheaper version, both made by Proctor & Gamble), tons of store brands (A&P, Shop-Rite, CVS, Walgreens and so on), Huggies Supreme and Baby-Shaped/Ultra-Trim, Playskool, and White Cloud...just to name a few. Pampers holds the most amount of urine than the others which leads to less leakage. I can't say we never had leaks. We have had a few diapers leak overnight, but our 2 sons are heavy wetters. Pampers holds up the best for our 2 boys. Added bonuses Pampers offers is the great powdery smell and the soft cloth like cover and the stretchy sides. Yeah they maybe the most expensive on the market, but they sure are worth it!! I was very fortunate and was given both pamper swaddlers ( HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) And Huggies Newborns. In a huge amount of both. My son was 6 + lbs and i found that the huggies always were to big causing him to leak, also leaving crystals on his bottom. As far as Pampers i loved that it was stretchy and seemed to fit him. For every baby it varies im sure, i say buy both, i have stuck with Pampers from the beggining because we NEVER have leaks. And I havent tried huggies since, because of the crystals. Its a small price difference.
As far as how there is two pamper brands ( when you get past swaddlers there is pamper purple and pamper baby dry ( green) ) I recommend the purple for boys and the green for girls. They are padded differently and James always leaked in the green and never the purple, and my girlfirends daughter always leaked in purple and never in the green. :) Hope this helpS!!

I love the swaddlers diapers! I've tried Huggies and Luvs and once I tried these my "perfect diaper" search ended. My main love of these is their softness. Under clothes they feel like cloth diapers, not plasticy at all. Their absorbancy is wonderful too, I've had no problem with leaks, and my baby has put these to the test from time to time. These diapers are stretchy, so they don't interfere with baby's constant kicking. And the "grow with me fit" I have found to be very true, once again the stretch of these diapers allows you to fit the diaper to your baby, rather than fitting your baby to the diaper. I found that the P (premie) size was wonderful for my newborn, the newborn size was just a little big, and with the delicate cord, I found the smaller diapers to work around it better. She's now in the 1-2 size, and I'm just as pleased with them.I love these diapers and suggest everyone give them a try.Customer Review: The BEST diapers!

I love these Pampers Swaddlers diapers. They are the softest, cloth-like diapers you will find. Plus, they smell nice! I have NEVER had a problem with leaks (but I haven't had much of a problem with other diapers either). We actually used Huggies first, because that's what we were given before the baby was born. My husband bought these after my daughter was about a month old because we had a coupon for them. I immediately fell in love with them. I wish that I had used these from the beginning.
My only complaint is that this version of Pampers only goes up to size 2! I wish they went all the way up in size. I have to say, I'll probably switch back over to Huggies after my daughter can't wear the 2's anymore - I think the Baby Dry Pampers are too hard. The Huggies are a little softer - although, they don't compare to the Swaddlers!

when my wife and I had a newborne last year, we worried like all parents do. As the diapers, we wanted to go cloth (ecological) but no diaper services were in our area. We used Swaddlers exclusively for sizes N, 1, and 2, and then, without explanation, we never found Swaddlers 3--but I digress.
The diapers performed very well, and of 100,000 some diapers used, only one was defective. Actually, we ended up using about 160 size N, 300 size 1, and 300 size 2, just in case you want to buy a palette.
One other note ... use unscented baby wipes because the swaddlers have an aroma themselves, and aloe or lavender on top of the swaddler scent, which doesn't appear to have a name, can compete with your baby's natural smells you will get used to.
