Customer Review: Does leak, but not all the times

I used Swaddler since my daughter was born and I love Pampers. As far as the leaking problem, it's all depends on how you wrap the diaper, wrap them nicely and the leaks problem should not appear. Parents usually don't want to wrap too tight because they're afraid of hurting the baby, but don't worry, wrapping the diaper too loose will only cause you have a bad leak instead. Wrap them tighter and babies won't really feel annoy to it. I don't like Huggies because I'm using this for my daughter now and it's a mess when you change them, it sticks and nasty but Pampers doesn't have this problem. I'm going to switch back to Cruisers once I'm done with this box of Huggies.Customer Review: Pampers for duration at my house

I also did the diaper test as I had many different brands of diapers given to me when my son was born. He was born 6 lb, 5 ozs. so we had to use the Preemie diapers because he is built like his father, no butt/no hips. But when we could use the bigger size, son is now 10 1/2 weeks, all of them leaked except the swaddlers. If your like most Mom's you get tired of laundry and by going through 5 outfits per day because the diapers are leaking, I say kudos to that.
I imagine the different shape of your child may lead you to another brand so best to do what Mom's around me do, the "leak test."
But this product gets 5*****Stars from us.

I'm very surprised at the other reviews because I have had NO problems with these diapers. I think they are WONDERFUL! My daughter is 2 1/2 months old now, and I have not had even ONE leak! To be fair though, I haven't tried any other brands.
The reason I STARTED using these is because 1)everyone I asked (including my November 2005 babycenter bulletin board) recommended them.. they all said Huggies and Luvs leak. 2) the hospital where I delivered used these as well, and we liked them there.
These are very good quality, soft, thin diapers. They are WELL worth the small amount of extra money you pay for them. I would recommend them to anyone!

I am really surprised by some of the other reviewers' take. I guess every baby is different. For us, Huggies Newborns were terrible. They are high-waisted and we couldn't get them away from the umbilical stump. As if that weren't bad enough, twice we ended up with poop everywhere. After that, we switched to the Swaddlers which is what the hospital had been using. We have never had a single leak with the Swaddlers. They are soft, obviously better quality, stretchy, super absorbent, and stay away from the stump well.
Update - we are still using Swaddlers at 4 months and still adore them. And we have still never had a leak.
Customer Review: Know how big your baby is??

I was just writing this review to remind you moms-to-be that some babies are larger at birth. This diaper is only up to 11 lbs. If you have a larger baby, they won't be in these for long (or not at all) Some stores will let you trade an unopened package of diapers without the receipt for a larger size, others won't. We ended up having to donate ours to a local women's shelter because we couldn't use them & couldn't swap them at our local store, but at least someone needed & used them. I would just advise to be careful how many of these you "stock up" on.
