Customer Reviews of Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers, Size 2 (12-18 Lbs), Economy Plus Pack, 152 Diapers

Customer Review: Pampers is the way to go for diapers
Summary: 3 Stars

Used pampers swaddlers from the moment he was born since that's what they used at the hospital. Had leaking pee problems before but only when the diaper was too big...they use size 1 even on my 6 lb baby. He is 4 mos old now and is still using size 2 or 2-3. Only have leaking poop problems when he is in sitting position so that is probably not the diapers fault but more just well if your butt was against something of course poop would splash sideways, up the back, and in the front. The size 2-3 is working well for my baby with no leaking poop problems so far because it covers more area -- bigger size than size 2. Absorbent for day but not at night. My son sleeps through the night now about 8 hours and I need to change him once in the night so the pee won't leak out. He pees quite often and a lot. I love how soft it is but my baby didn't seem to be bothered by any diaper we used even when leaks happened. He just gets bugged if we don't change his poop diaper right away. Used huggies and parent's choice...still like pampers swaddlers because of the softness. Used swaddlers sensitive for first couple months when figuring out what wet diaper supposed to feel like (only sensitive has wetness indicator).

Customer Review: Caused eczema, itching and rash for our 5 month old!
Summary: 1 Stars

Our daughter has beautiful porcelain skin! I love the regular Pampers and bought these in the size two so we could keep using the wetness indicator (why doesn't Pampers do this with all their sizes I want to know). When our daughter started wearing them, I couldn't help but notice that the scent was overwhelming. It would be enough to wake ME up in the middle of the night! She also started having trouble sleeping and would be kicking her legs and squirming as though something was hurting her. At about day five, she started scratching her belly, her legs and the top of her head. At about day seven, she developed an eczema rash on her mid belly and her fussiness and inability to sleep was getting worse. She was also rubbing her eyes constantly as well.

Finally, I did a bit of research and decided to stop using these. I gave her a bath and put fresh clothes on her and a cloth diaper and she had instant relief. Then she had a three hour nap (after days of NO napping!). She also started sleeping through the night again! By day two of not using them, all the symptoms were gone and she was back to normal.

I felt so bad because we thought she was teething and were giving her tylenol to no avail. I am going to write to Pampers and let them know.

Customer Review: Good for newborns
Summary: 5 Stars

Used them, they have a yellow line in front to tell you when my guy pees, plus a little fold down to prevent umbilical cord irritation. The diapers did not leak till the baby grew around 10 lbs and started making more urine, then we switched to size 1. Recommend for New borns: Yes

Customer Review: no poopsplosions here!
Summary: 5 Stars

we have been very happy with pampers sensitive diapers. unlike other brands we have tried, we haven't dealt with any poopsplosions and our baby's diaper rash has gone away. the only issue we have is with sizing; although our baby does not yet weigh 13 pounds, these diapers are already looking a little small. not sure if this is because of how our baby is built or if the weight limit is legitimately off.

Customer Review: good for most, not recommended for highly sesntivie skin
Summary: 3 Stars

having used pampers for 6 months (since I didn't find a better alternative), I can confidently claim, its pretty good for newborns, especially with the color indicator for wetness. But my daughter kept getting rashes all the time when I used Pampers, however dry and well protected with creams etc I kept her. So I guess my daughter must've been a little too sensitive. I have changed to Huggies Pure and Natural which is much much better for my daughter's skin. I wish I had known earlier about this brand.
