Customer Reviews of Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers, Size 2, 152 Count

Customer Review: Caused eczema, itching and rash for our 5 month old!
Summary: 1 Stars

Our daughter has beautiful porcelain skin! I love the regular Pampers and bought these in the size two so we could keep using the wetness indicator (why doesn't Pampers do this with all their sizes I want to know). When our daughter started wearing them, I couldn't help but notice that the scent was overwhelming. It would be enough to wake ME up in the middle of the night! She also started having trouble sleeping and would be kicking her legs and squirming as though something was hurting her. At about day five, she started scratching her belly, her legs and the top of her head. At about day seven, she developed an eczema rash on her mid belly and her fussiness and inability to sleep was getting worse. She was also rubbing her eyes constantly as well.

Finally, I did a bit of research and decided to stop using these. I gave her a bath and put fresh clothes on her and a cloth diaper and she had instant relief. Then she had a three hour nap (after days of NO napping!). She also started sleeping through the night again! By day two of not using them, all the symptoms were gone and she was back to normal.

I felt so bad because we thought she was teething and were giving her tylenol to no avail. I am going to write to Pampers and let them know.

Customer Review: Pampers is simply the best diaper out there
Summary: 5 Stars

A friend told me when I was pregnant, "Pampers has the best Dipes and Huggies makes the best Wipes" --- SHE WAS RIGHT!!! I've tried them all. Pampers has the best dipes. I then bought Pampers Wipes, and they stink! They dry out, are too thin .... Trust me, Huggies wipes are the best.

I am the QUEEN of price comparisons, and found that ordering online is even cheaper than going to Sams/Bjs/ETC.

Two programs to know about through Amazon:

(1) Amazon has a "subscribe & save" program - you subscribe to get things on a regular basis (you set the intervals) and you get 30% off.

o I got a box of dipes that cost $38 at BJs, it cost $40 on Amazon .. but with the 30% off, I paid $28!!!

o When the "subscribe" part came up to deliver more, all I had to do was click "Skip this Shipment" and it did not auto-bill me .. so it's no obligation

o You can cancel from the program at any time!!

(2) I joined "Amazon Mom" and get free Amazon Prime Membership (normally $79/yr) for free ... w/ Amazon Prime you get free 2-day shipping

So .. for dipes and wipes I get 30% off and free shipping! You cannot beat that at BJs :)

Customer Review: False claims! Not so sensitive, nor gentle, nor hypoallergenic!
Summary: 1 Stars

I decided to try Swaddlers Sensitive because the company claims it's for sensitive skin, and "gentle and hypoallerginic" - see the product description. I am not sure what makes this product so sensitive? Fragrance?
I am not sure why anyone would add fragrance to a baby product - fragrance is an irritant!
In fact, I was sneezing so bad BEFORE I even opened the package! My baby was sneezing too! I had very bad reaction - runny nose, itchy eyes, etc... the whole shebang! The room smelled like Pampers for a few days after I threw them away. I am sure that fragrance would cause bad irritaion on my baby's skin if I used these diapers for some time.
Maybe some people are not bothered by the smell and their babies' skin can handle such heavy loads, that's fine, but the company should remove the "sensitive", "gentle" and "hypoallergenic" claims and they should inform the consumers that the product contains franrance. I could not find anything on the package mentioning that. I would never buy this product in the first place if I knew it contains fragrance.
False claims from Papmers - What a shame!
I would give it -5 stars if I could.

Customer Review: Best diapers for babies who are solely breastfed
Summary: 5 Stars

These are the only diapers I prefer to use on my 3 month old who is still getting only breastmilk. So far I've tried these, Cruisers with Drymax (shudders), Baby Dry and Huggies Snug n' Fit, and also Seventh Generation (which were ok but not quite as good in my opinion). Baby dry is good but better for babies with firmer stools. The mesh lining in the Swaddlers helps keep the runny breastmilk stool from leaking. I would NOT recommend the Swaddlers with Drymax (see my review on Cruisers).

Helpful hint- make sure to pull the tabs in tightly to create a seal around the legs- these diapers are very adjustable for different leg sizes but if you don't remember to pull them tight you could get leakage out the legs. Other than that these don't leak often- the back is nice and high to prevent this.

I haven't tried the Huggies Little Snugglers but I tried another model of Huggies Diaper and didn't like them because they smelled strongly of urine every time my daughter peed just a little bit (and I can't be changing her diaper every 20 minutes obviously). I don't know if Little Snugglers has this issue or not.

Customer Review: Softest Diapers
Summary: 5 Stars

I received the varied mix of diaper brands for my baby shower. I felt strongly about going "green" so was happy to get several all natural diapers. I actually scoffed at the name brand "regular" diapers, Pampers being one of them. Figured they were free though so I used them anyway. To my surprise, I did not like the all natural diapers, they were too bulky and swelled up to become even bulkier when my baby urinated. She felt and looked like she had a ginormous diaper that restricted her ability to move smoothly and be comfortable. Also, the only time I had a diaper explosion and had to do the whole change of clothes thing, was when I used the natural diapers. When I opened the Pampers Sensitive, I immediately felt the difference. They were soft and thin and fit my baby perfectly. They didn't swell and become bulky when wet and the diaper explosions were none existent. I couldn't be happier with these diapers. I have tried so many and I was sold as soon as I used them. I really had my heart set on going green, but I realized after becoming a mom that in this case, comfort trumps the all natural diapers.
