Panasonic massage loungers are the first chairs to be approved by the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), the largest professional association in the world representing doctors of chiropractic. Recognizing the many health benefits of regular massage, the ACA found that Panasonic massage chairs provide outstanding deep-tissue relief, offering an ideal complement to chiropractic manipulation. The WAVE Dual-Use Ottoman System allows for a more complete, lower body massage including kneading and loosening of the shins and calf muscles. Reposition your feet in the air wells for a soothing foot massage. Works to alleviate stiffness in your lower back, hips and thighs. How does it work? The air system in the ottoman squeezes the legs while it lowers and raises in 20° increments. Using two or four firm rubber massage heads, the Panasonic Swede-Atsu Wave massage lounger accurately simulates stroking with the palm of hand, pressing with the heel of the hand, kneading with thumbs and pressure with thumbs. It covers a total of 135 square inches ¿ including neck, shoulder and back, with eight different massage modes in all. Kneading provides gentle in-and-out motion which is especially effective on your neck and shoulders. Try both kneading modes for a different kneading pattern and sensation. With Rolling, muscles are gently stretched as the massage heads move up and down along the back. When "regional" is selected the heads will move in a 4-inch range. When "full" is selected, the heads will move in a 27-inch range. Tapping (two Modes) provides an invigorating sensation of hands rapidly tapping on your back muscles. Swedish applies gentle pressure to simulate the palms of hands. Shiatsu uses strong deep-tissue pressure and stretching using two massage heads. Compression offers a firm rubbing motion across the back. Two modes are available: Hawaiian - a gentle rubbing motion across the back, and Percussion a deep-pressure massage that stimulates acupoints.Massage & Relaxation
