Customer Review: Takes a lickin' and keeps on trimmin' (my nose hair)

This is a product that does what it promises...and more! The Panasonic ER421KC Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer, Wet/Dry, Lighted really can handle the tough jobs, believe me: I am a tough job. I wish you could all see a before picture of me. Andy Rooney looked like Leonardo Dicaprio next to me (at least in terms of unwanted facial hair). Perhaps it's the fact that I've been living as a hermit for the past two years in a remote mountain region of British Colombia, Canada, but my ear and nose hair was overgrown, and as one little boy I passed in the street described it, "bushy". When I first used this product though, the Panasonic ER421KC Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer, Wet/Dry, Lighted, I became a new man--reborn, rejuvenated. Women find me attractive--well, at least one does; I am recently engaged--and I have a new confidence that I didn't have before.

Customer Review: Not worth the money

I had a very bad experience with this nose/ear trimmer and strongly recommend buying another brand/model.
Here's why...
1. The spinning razor kept jamming and, at times, stopping...the only way I could get it to work when this happened was to loosen the cover/tip of the trimmer and hold it in place with my fingers while it was operating.
2. The light was worthless, as it wasn't positioned appropriately on the trimmer to be of any use
3. It didn't cut hairs all that well and often pulled hairs instead
4. At times, it was hard to take off the cover/tip of the razor to clean it out or adjust the flimsy parts inside to get it to work again.
5. Ultimately, the trimmer fell apart and the razor broke off.
I threw it away and will not be buying a Panasonic grooming product in the future again.

Very good product for the price. My main "like" of this product is that it is quiet! I've bought similiar products over the years and those that could actually cut ear hairs were so noisy with high pitched sounds that it was a pain to use them. This trimmer is very quiet, cuts the hair and gets the job done. I was hestitant because of some of negative reviews but finally decided that one could not expect an engineering marvel for the price. Only improvement I would recommend is the light; it sure doesn't make a lot of sense because of where it's aimed. However, it's still nice to have a light in the general area. Overall, cuts and trims about the same as products you can pick up in the store for $10-20, but the low noise level makes this trimmer standout!! Face it, the original Sharper Image product is gone so standards/expectations will have to lowered for now.Customer Review: Good Trimmer

I had another cheap trimmer for years. It finally gave out and my wife wouldn't share hers with me, so I chose the Panasonic ER421KC as my new trimmer. I like it quite well for several reasons.
-It's very quiet.
-It's lightweight.
-It's really very effective.
-The reasonable cost.
I'm not at all unhappy with the trimmer, but I do think it could be better in three ways.
-A recgaharging dock would be nice.
-The light is useless.
-I had to replace the battery and I couldn't figure out how to open the thing. Some directional arrows or a note on the casing would help slow people like me get through advanced technological procedures like changing the battery.
I have several Panasonic electronics products in my home. Some play CD's, some play MP3's, some play DVD's, some trim my nose hair. I love them all.

I saw this kind of trimmer -- same basic design -- at Bed Bath and Beyond several years ago. The would work in a very mediocre way, and then something would break or give out. Often it seemed like it wasn't doing anything -- I would use it and it took a long time before I saw results and it seemed to be hit and miss regarding if it cut the intended hairs or not.
Well, I am overjoyed (yes I do need to get out more !) with these. They cut well, cleanly, everything I expected from a cutter of this kind. I have no use for the light nor do I know how it could be used other than what one poster said to examine the area after the fact, which would be a valid use for it -- my bathroom is well lighted so it's not a factor for me.
It works well, it works quickly, it works clearly, it will make your life more efficient, and simple.
