Customer Review: Best Nose Hair Trimmer EVER

I don't write many reviews, but this one is worth while. I've had a couple different trimmers over the years, but this one certainly wins the award for best EVER. It requires 1 AA battery and amazingly spins at extremely high RPMs. As a result, hair trimming is quick, easy, & painless. It didn't pull the hairs or make my eyes water...I'm impressed. Also, the vacuum feature seems to work as advertised. I had no left over trimmings in my nose to cause itching or sneezing. The only negative I could find is that it will actually trim VERY close and thoroughly, leaving almost a stubble in your nose that can be irritating for a couple days when you rub your nose. After 9 months of use, the trimmer began pulling hair rather than cutting. Keeping a fresh battery in the trimmer helped, but the blades have definitely dulled. Panasonic offers a replacement "blade block" assembly (WER416K1058) for $11.35 (plus $5.95 for shipping). Not really a great value given the price of a new unit and that I can get it shipped free with my Amazon Prime membership.
Pros:
- good sized
- easy to use
- trims nose well when new
- ok choice among limited alternatives
Cons:
- weak job of trimming ear hair - leaves visible stubble
- limited life span
- might best be considered a "disposable" device
Summary: Not sure I would by again. My scissors still work fine.

This basically functions, but the cutting heads on it are not near as good as my old Panasonic ER411. (No letters after it, just ER411) The ER411 has the best cutting heads on it of any nose trimmer I have ever had. Fortunately the head on my old one fits on this new one. By switching the head I was able to make a good trimmer out of this new one. The old head on my ER411 has not worn out yet. Unfortunately I can not find the ER411 anymore anywhere. I liked the idea of this new one having the fan on it. That seems to work fine, but don't expect this one to cut really well. Maybe if I had not had my old one to compare it to this new one wouldn't have seemed so weak. They need to make one with a fan, but with the cutting head of the old ER411.Customer Review: Works well but leaves lots of sharp little hairs

This is the first ear/nose hair trimmer I have ever used, so I have nothing to compare it to. The unit feels substantial and well made. The battery cover comes off in a 1/4 turn and appears watertight. The blade end easily disassembles for cleaning, although there is a thin plastic "stick" that seems a bit frail and if it fails I sure the whole thing would die.
As far as results go, it certainly cuts hairs. It actually tickles a little in your nose and is loud in your ear. In your nose the hairs are left very short and prickley. I found this to be an uncomfortable feeling for the first 24 hours, but then got used to it.
It does what it is supposed to do, although it is very loud when used in your ear.

I've bought several of nose trimmers and always ended up throwing them away. There were always problems with them: ineffective, painful, fragile, not durable, etc.
I decided to try this trimmer out after reading all the feedback. I've used it for a few weeks now and I am extremely impressed. This is the first trimmer that really does the job and does it well. Overall, I have to say, this trimmer lived up to the reviews.
The vacuuming feature works great so that I don't have any cleanup at all after using it. And the price was just a few dollars more than the non-vacuuming model.
It's well-made and I feel confident it will last.
I've been very satisfied with this purchase.
