I'll admit, I have a little ear hair which is why I bought this and I used to have a norelco brand that had a rechargeable battery inside, it worked great until the battery refused to hold a charge. I looked for a good replacement and came across this Panasonic unit and it really does a decent job. I do find I have a slightly harder time using it around the ear but it does cut the little hairs without any pulling or pain. I'm very happy that this uses a AA battery and is easily replaceable. I am curious how long I'll actually beable to use it before I have to replace the battery. So far I've used it for about 2 weeks and it's still running as strong as it was when I first put the battery in so all looks good.Customer Review: Evil Nose & Ear Hair Begone!!!

What can one say about the Panasonic ER430K Vacuum Nose/Ear Hair Trimmer except two words... It Works!
Not only does it shave away unsightly nose and ear hair, but the built in vacuum means you won't accidentally breathe in any nose hair strands that will get caught in the back of your throat (similar to what happened to Larry David in that episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.)
Appropriate as a gift for married guys, single guys, tough guys, average guys, or even metrosexuals. A perfect birthday present or stocking stuffer at Christmas (or Hanukkah). Excellent for the man who is nasty and as scandalous as a mug (with regards to the crops and bushes growing out of his nose and ears)!

This a very nice trimmer. Much sturdier than some off brand versions I have had in the past. It cuts quickly and efficiently. It's convenient to have the carrying pouch and is simple to clean. The vacuum is a nice feature. As for the mirror cap you might find it helpful if no other mirror is available. You have to be sure to peel any plastic from the mirror cap in order to obtain a clear reflection. You may think you have peeled it off but there is a second plastic film layer in addition to the packaging plastic film cover (if it still looks dull you may not have taken off the second plastic film layer). I have only had it for a few months but I am very happy with the product.Customer Review: Great but not perfect

This trimmer is something I've been looking for but was trepidatious to purchase for fear of the nose hair pulling that has happened in the past. Well, I'm happy to say, none of that is the case with this trimmer. No pulling, tearing or catching at all. It zips along at a rapid pace and cuts the hairs cleanly - for the most part. It cleaned out my nose and ear hairs very effectively with the exception that, sometimes, because of the way the end is designed, you have to go over the same hair a dozen times before they get clipped. Otherwise, it's great. I highly recommend it. In fact, it tickles my nose which makes me laugh. Now that's a nice benefit to having to trim unsightly hairs.Customer Review: Disappointed

Motor: This has some motor. God forbid you hit a 'hair' ... it stops ... Must toggle on/off switch
... then it starts again ... motor very weak.
Vacuum: Yeah, this trimmer sucks all right ... (who knows ... who nose) ... I'll have to place some white paper under my clipping attempts to see if any hairs are falling ... or being sucked up ... I can't say I've tested this aspect.
Overall, I'm disappointed, ... but they are all like this ...
I plan on returning this one, because I can get one just as effective for half the money ...
