Purchased this unit for myself... these units are only made to Last 3 years.. so when I hear all these complaints of the previous model worked better & this model didn't last, take it with a grain of salt. Vacuum unit workes fine & even comes with clip on cap with mirror.
Purchased other "Panasonic lighted ear hair trimmer" to do my 85 year old Dad's ear hair, that works fine as well. These units are double this price in some retail stores. Thanks Amazon!...

After reading the reviews, I purchased the Panasonic ER430K to replace a Wahl trimmer that was ten or more years older. When I got the Panasonic trimmer, I threw the old one in the trash thinking that I had a much better trimmer! But I was wrong and I ended up digging the old Wahl trimmer out of the trash because the Panasonic trimmer was worthless. Maybe it is the way my nose hairs are, but the ER430K did not seem work for me. Glad I didn't empty the trash right away!Customer Review: Older one worked better

I bought two of these, one for me and one for my spouse. I paid more than the current price.
Both of us think this trimmer does a poor job compared to our old, less expensive Panasonic trimmers. It takes too long to do even a small clean up job because it does not seem to cut well nor fast enough. I suppose the vacuum is nice, but we never had an issue without one so I am junking these and replacing them with the simpler model like we had before.

Had the previous model for about 1+years and then kablooey!
No warning, weird noises, or shaking. Just up and quit on me like a slinky slut.
I loved it and the gosh-darned thing left me. I changed battery and nada. I suppose something internal?
I was mad as hell and I wanted it to work. I've been un-groomed for several months now and WoW I saw this model. I'm smitten again. I'll see how this relationship works out. I have High hopes...

I bought this trimmer after my old cheapie Wahl unit died. I am not overly impressed. The unit does at best an adequate job of trimming. It really falls down on closeness of the trim and ease of getting at all the offending nose hairs. My old Wahl unit excelled on all counts except occasionally pulling a hair. Unfortunately the Wahl unit isn't made anymore. The vacuum feature of this unit is a nice idea but I didn't perceive any particular benefit.
