Customer Review: Works great---but make sure to keep up with the small pieces!

After having really negative experiences with drugstore hair groomers(see my scathing review of the Finishing Touch Lumina), I was a little hesistant to spend almost $20 on this product. The other battery-operated hair removers that I purchased in the past(such as the Finishing Touch), would always stop right in the middle of use for no apparent reason. Also, whenever I would go to clean the groomer, I could never get the pieces back together for it to function properly. I went through 3 Finishing Touch Luminas (about $27 down the drain) before I decided to break down and spend more money. Much to my surprise, despite having a similar set up, the Panasonic ES2113PC Pivoting Head Facial Groomer actually works REALLY well. It comes with a small blade that can be used for your eyebrows--or an other small areas such as the upper lip-- a longer blade that can be used for other areas of the face, and a little brush to clean out the groomer. The Panasonic is completely painless (unless you use the smallest blade for really thick hair or on other parts of the body besides the face) and very easy to clean. Also, as the name implies, it pivots so that you can get to the hard-to-reach places. However, I do have a few complaints about this product. The first is that it can sometimes cause very mild irritation. The Panasonic Pivoting Head Facial Groomer doesn't always get all of the hair in one fell swoop, so you sometimes have to go over the same section twice. This causes redness and small itchy bumps that usually disappear within an hour's time. Second, the pieces that come with this groomer--the two blades and the inner parts that have to be disassembled during cleaning--are VERY easy to lose. In short, make sure that you are extremely careful while cleaning it. It is easy to put down one of the small innards, only to lose it and be unable to continue using the product. Unfortunately, Panasonic does not sell any replacement parts, so you have to repurchase the entire unit if you lose anything. But overall, I would recommend this. I absolutely love this product! I recently started electrolysis treatments to get rid of unwanted hair on my chin and sideburn area (a problem that started after the babies were born, my hormones went out of whack). My electrolysist told me to stop waxing and plucking completely, because, listen up ladies, it is waxing and plucking facial hair that makes it grow back thicker, not shaving! She told me to trim my hair in between treatments to defuzz. Well, this facial trimmer works like a charm. It takes less than half the time it used to to wax my face and trims it so close, the results are better than when I used to wax. Makeup goes on so smoothly, my skin looks like model skin in a magazine (I'm beginning to think they must trim models' faces too.) This product leaves facial skin surface smooth as a baby. No stubble ever. Best of all, there is no more of that post-wax irritation I used to get (hives, bumps, breakouts). My breakouts along the chin area have ceased completely as well, since I'm no longer plucking. My skin looks clean, hair free all within seconds. The tiny attachment even trims inside the nose. Does not irritate the skin at all. You can glide the trimmer directly across your skin, even the skin inside the nose (be gentle though) and it only removes the hair. And when the hair grows back, it is FINE, so fine, I need a magnifying mirror to see the hairs. I highly recommend this product. Just make sure you stock up on AAA batteries, because it does not come with a starter set of batteries. Other than that, awesome! You won't regret this purchase!Customer Review: Gorgeous Groomer! This Panasonic Facial Groomer is a wonderful product. One that I'm glad I took the chance on.
The groomer has a large blade that bends and pivots to hug the skin closely but not knick or cut! It's great for keeping your eyebrows tidy without having to use scissors. That always makes me nervous around the eyes.
I also use this to keep the line on the back of my son's neck between hair cuts. Which is quite often, but he hates those small hairs that grow back. It's simple to use and easily cleaned.
Great used as a trimmer for the binkini line. Very gentle on sensitive skin. A lot less messy than any of those depilatory creams offered by several companies. They all burn and smell just horrible!
This wonderful groomer comes with two sizes of trimmers to fit on the top for your eyebrows. One 6 to 8 mm and the other is 2 to 4 mm. It even comes with a spare blade!
So to wrap it up, in one simple and easy to use groomer, the Pivoting Head (which many other groomers do not have) follows the contour of the skin for close trimming.

I like the simplicity and painlessness of this item for help in controlling the facial hair issues that cropped up in middle age. I use three tools, since waxing is too irritating for me, and I didn't feel like paying for electrolysis/laser zapping: 1. an epilator that pulls out the larger hairs along the chin line 2. this facial groomer for shaving off the hairs along cheek and neckline and above lip and 3. tweezers for eyebrows/between brows and hairline area stragglers.
This is a very quick shaver that is minimally irritating (I have super-duper sensitive, eczema/dermatitis prone facial skin, so I wouldn't use this if it weren't gentle.) It's like this teeny tiny shaver, light and battery powered. A nice tool.
I like having a very smooth hairless face, so I remove hairs that others wouldn't care about (ie, peach fuzz). Makeup looks so much better when I use this facial groomer--smoother, almost airbrushed.
If you hate having excess hair anywhere on your face or neck, and you don't want the iritation of regular shavers or hot wax, you might wanna try this. I like it so much, I bought two to have a back-up on hand.
I've been using the first one I purchased for more than a year already, and it's still going strong. So, good quality, too (though it looks simple and cheap, it's been working fine, as a Panasonic should.)

I normally do not write reviews, but I had to say something about this indispensable product.
I won't be going to get my eyebrows waxed nearly as frequently now that I own this! It's the ultimate brow grooming tool! I can remove unsightly facial hairs (specifically those under my eyebrows) in seconds. It is so much quicker and economical than going to a beauty salon. I like this groomer because it does not irritate my skin like tweezing and waxing does. When I tweeze, for instance, I often snag the skin along with the hair, or I am unable to grab the tiny hairs. But with the Panasonic groomer, that is no longer a problem!
I also love the packaging and pink color. It comes with a cute sparkly pink protective lid (not shown in the Amazon pictures), which makes it more fashionable and cute. The slim size makes it easy to slip into your cosmetic bag or purse.
The other great feature is the eyebrow combs, which allow you to trim eyebrow hairs to the same length. You can choose the length based on which comb you use. This is a great for me because some of my brow hairs are longer than others.
I would recommend this product to every woman, especially those with sensitive skin, little time, or to give as an affordable gift.
