This product was exactly what I was looking for. I'm 44 and began getting extra facial hair--I don't mean in one spot. We're talking about the "fuzz" that makes grandma (at least back in the day when I was younger) take on the feel of a slightly furry and soft creature. Not the look I was going for. Since these fine hairs were pretty much everywhere on my face--forehead, cheeks, chin, and upper lip--plucking was out of the question. The expense and time of getting waxed was more than I was prepared to give up for vanity. After a couple of hours of researching various ideas and products, I selected the Panasonic Facial Groomer. It took me a bit to get over the notion that I was about to shave my face! Now I use it about once a month and love it! I go from granny to me in just matter of minutes. I've have good luck with this product. I've used it for a couple of months. I am very fair and have very fine facial hair. I've been waxing for several years but became concerned, as I aged, that the skin on my upper lip might be damaged. I only do my upper lip, around my lips and below my lower lip with the trimmer. This has worked well and I'm very happy with the purchase. The new hair does not grow in dark (think about it, how could it?), but I need to use the trimmer every three or four days. There are no more darker hairs than there were when I was waxing.
DO use the smaller blade when you take care of the hair between your eyebrows and the top area of your nose. I was feeling full of myself one day and decided to use the longer blade. Yes, I whacked of a few eyebrow hairs.

Being menopausal, I fortunately was spared the hot flashes (at least so far)but not the facial hair. UGH!! I was using razors almost every day until I realized I'd make it easier on myself and get a women's shaver. I went on Amazon, put it in the shopping cart and saw the page of recommended items where I saw this. I read the reviews which were highly favorable so I deleted the shaver and bought this instead. I'm so glad I did. Though a lot of the reviews mention "peach fuzz",but being dark haired, I don't have "peach fuzz", but dark facial hair. This does a great job in removing it. I did notice that if it doesn't seem to be working going one way, use a different direction. Of all my 2008 purchases from Amazon, this is the one I'm the most happy with. I've used the Finishing Touch for hair removal before and have always been pleased with it. But this time when I needed to buy a new one, I saw the Panasonic Pivoting Head Facial Groomer. The fact that it pivoted is what sold me. Boy was I wrong! First of all, the Panasonic doesn't have the power that the Finishing Touch does and you can't press it hard when you need to. The big problem was that when I changed the blades the second time, the locking mechanism simply broke off. Although both devices are made with plastic, the Panasonic is made with a much cheaper grade of plastic, and that is why the locking mechanism broke--it was plainly too flimsy to last. I'm happy that some others have had no problems with their Panasonics, but I won't chance it again.Customer Review: I had no idea how useful this would be!

I got this product because it was recommended on the page for another electric trimmer. Actually, I had no idea how useful this would be! I got it just to trim my eyebrows, but I ended up using it to remove the fine hairs across my entire face because it really does make moisturizers and things go on smoother, and I just really prefer the feel of it. The packaging is really good, the cap makes it so that the blades don't catch on anything and the power switch can't flip if you're carrying it in your purse. It comes with two sizes of blades, a petite one for eyebrow area and a larger one for the rest of the face. It also comes with two snap-on length combs for different eyebrow trimming preferences. I think this was definitely worth the money!
