This works great! Disposables give me razor burn, but I like the close shave. I tried an epilator and that didn't work too well, it just broke off the hairs. I figured I would just give up and use an electric shaver and get a close enough shave, but this one exceeded my expectations. I also like that there's a nice compact place for it on my electrical outlet.
I tried both wet and dry functions and I think it works better dry. When I dried off, I could still feel hairs so I went over it again and the area became smooth. However, during dry shaving, if I go to fast my skin catches in the razor. There was no bleeding, but it wasn't comfortable.
Then only thing I don't like is that there's no cord attachment. That's probably for safety reasons, but I would like that option when the battery starts to lose it charge.

I have never in my life used anything but a blade razor on my legs and underarms, so this was a totally new experience. So far I'm liking it, although you do not get a shave nearly as close as with a blade. To get something even remotely akin to that, you have to go over the areas several times, and even then you can still feel the stubble. It does not matter that much to me, but if really smooth legs are important to you, stick with a blade, or waxing or something like that. As far as performance and ease of use and cleaning, it's super great. I keep it plugged in while I'm at work and it's always ready to use. I use it dry before I get in the shower. Then I can just tap the head to get the dry hair out and it's ready to go again. I do recommend it, but not for very smooth skin. It really can't do that.Customer Review: Wow...

I have NEVER had a shave this close with an electric razor. I can use it to shave my legs, and not feel a SINGLE hair! It's my new favorite product, I love it so much! I had the older version of this too, the blue/green one, which I liked but bought this one when I lost the charger (I'd had that for years, and it still works! I just can't charge it, haha!) And this one gets an even closer shave! I'm so never using those regular razors again where I always end up cutting myself, it's this little baby every time!
Thank you Panasonic, you have truly revolutionized electric razors for women - we can FINALLY get a close shave like the men get with their razors! My legs have never looked more fabulous!

Wife writing this. I bought this item to replace my Remington 5000, which was good, but the replacement heads and blades have become too expensive to be worth purchasing to rebuild it. I was skeptical as price for this new shaver was cheaper than replacement parts for my old Remington 5000. However, as my husband was extremely happy with his Panasonic ES8066 that he has had for years, I decided to give this item a try. Excellent shaver. Better than the Remington 5000 was when it was new. Smooth close shave. Fast with no burns or bumps or stubble left. Easy to handle and maneuver when shaver is wet or dry. Economical as replacement blades and foils are reasonably priced. Delivery by Amazon was fast.Customer Review: Better than expected

I had pretty low expectations based on my experiences with electric razors in the past. I really only bought this because a few times over the last couple weeks I've thought to myself "Crap, I didn't shave my legs this morning and now I want to wear a skirt." It's not the silky smooth shave you get with a real razor, but it's totally serviceable in a pinch. No razor burn. No nicks on my knees or ankles. And for the price, definitely worth it. I wouldn't spend more than this on an electric razor (unless maybe the "lift & cut" ones really work and I was a guy?) and I probably won't be brave enough to try it on my underarms. But happy with the purchase.
