Customer Review: Good shaver, still prefer single head

I wanted an electric shaver, and hate the rotary head style. I had a Panasonic Smooth Operator Men's shaver in the 80's and loved it. It finally gave out after three years or so. I thought I would give Panasonic another try, but they only seem to have these double head shavers. It shaves as close as the old Panasonic, but the double heads cause me to miss single whiskers. After a day ot two, I will find one lone whisker approaching the 1/4 to 1/3 inch length. This is my only gripe about the double head system. Since there are only 2 foil cutters, this razor works best on short hairs -- maybe one or two days worth of beard/moustache growth. This razor works great when shaving every day or every other day. When hairs are longer and tend to not get in the tiny holes of the foil as easily, this razor lacks a trimming type of cutter between the foils which I had on a previous Panasonic electric razor. Yes, you can use the trimmer on the backside and then resume regular shaving, but that's a 2-step process versus the 1-step I was used to with my previous razor.Customer Review: Worst Shaver Ever!

I bought this Panasonic shaver based on the reviews on Amazon and was greatly disappointed.
I tried it as a standard dry shaver and it kept missing hairs. I tried it as a wet shaver and I tried it with shaving cream but still got poor results. I ending up buying another shaver 2 weeks after buying the Panasonic because it was so bad.
Now, after having it less than a year, the shaver will not charge and I have to throw it away at an electronic waste center.
Do not waste you're money on this piece of junk.

Not as close a shave as a blade, but gives a good shave, works well, lasts a long time on a charge, and is well built. The shaver has a good weight and balance and I find it easier to use the trimmer than other electrics I've owned. I'm liking this shaver and use it daily for 6 months now, including when traveling. I expect to use it for many years. I thought I'd really like the wet shave in the shower, but I find I'm more comfortable with a dry shave in front of the mirror. Its nice to have the option. Well the shaver is good but as with all electronic shaver, you can almost never get a clean smooth shave especially near neck the shaver proves to be ineffective. It cannot completely remove the hairs in and around the neck. Overall the product is ok but trust me you need to use a manual shaver to get a clean shave! Its good for journey purposes although and the battery life is also good!
I would recommend this product but getting a clean shave with any electronic shaver is impossible and this is no exception.
