Customer Reviews of Panasonic ES4026NC Pro Curve Rechargeable Double Blade Wet/Dry Men's Shaver, Blue/Yellow

Customer Review: Leaves no hair shaved
Summary: 1 Stars

First let me state that the shaver's colors are nice, blue & yellow. That's the positive - here are the negatives. Unless you have a very large space on your bathroom outlet, you will have to find another place to charge the unit. The charger plugs directly into the outlet and the shaver must sit on top of the base in order to charge - poor design.

Now on to the shaving. I tried shaving my very fine leg hairs with the fully charged shaver and hardly any hairs were shaved. I am a woman and the exact same shaver is available in a ladies' version in mauve, a color I didn't like. I tried the shaver dry and then also wet. Neither option produced anything resembling a shave.

If you are looking for a shaver to shave hair and not just pretend to do so, try another brand.

Customer Review: Poor performance
Summary: 2 Stars

Pros: Can use in the shower with shaving cream, easy to clean

Cons: Battery runs out after 6 shaves (this was a brand new unit). It does well with flat areas i.e., moustache, chin, and cheeks, but fails around the neck (my co-workers thought I was going for a European look). I have to go over my neck area several times, often irritating or nicking the skin. I thought using shaving cream would help, but it actually makes the blades slip. Despite my best efforts from all angles, this shaver still leaves significant stubble and missed hairs. My $2 schick razor does a better job! I have another more expensive panasonic shaver and it has the same problem. If you're looking for left-over stubble, go for this shaver. If you want a closer shave, look elsewhere, if not, for another brand.

Customer Review: This Razor ROCKS!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I got this neat little razor from my mother in law for Xmas. I came across this Panasonic ES4026NC Wet Dry Shaver on Amazon. Let me tell you something, this things shaves as good as the more expensive electric shavers and just almost as good as a straight razor. This razor shaves really close (I use regular Barbasol shaving cream.) Just put enought on your face to barely cover it and don't over due it. Just a dab will do and wet the blades before shaving and let me tell you, for this price, it ROCKS!!! You will wind up with a really close, smooth face and your boss(your wife) will love you for it. Also, it keeps a charge a loooong time and shaves about 7 times before it needs recharging. Also, use creams and not jels for shaving. Shaving cream is the best. Thanks for reading and happy shaving.

Customer Review: Doesn't cut it...literally.
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this shaver to take on a trip to India. I REALLY liked the fact that it was battery powered. This part of the shaver works well; the battery holds it's charge well. Other than that, I was very disappointed in this shaver's performance. Shaving dry, it always left stray whiskers standing that I had to cut with the side burn trimmer. I also attempted to shave wet as the manufacturer recommended, but this was even worse. Shaving wet nearly doubled the time it took for me to shave and again left stray whiskers. I purchased this to replace a Norelco three head electric razor that was over ten years old. I have since pulled it out, cleaned and oiled it, and have found that it STILL works better than this Panasonic. I have returned the Panasonic to Amazon for a refund.

Customer Review: Other than wet capability, average
Summary: 4 Stars

I'm not going to hold it against this shaver since all the rest of the electric shavers is the same for me, but this shaver is another that makes my skin bleed. I was hopeful about the lines of it being hypoallergenic but no luck towards my problem. If other shavers of this general design aggravate your face, this won't be any different. The only difference here is that wet shaving will go quicker if you do it right, but it will still sting as always.
The wet shaving works better than dry shaving if you follow the directions of foaming it with soap or shaving cream. I would continue using this shaver if it wasn't for the bleeding and stinging. I give it an extra star above the average for (what seems so far like) completely safe wet shaving for that low price.
