What a terrific shaver! I used a blade razor for years and switched to an electric dry shaver about 15 years ago because my face just couldn't take the burning and abrasion of the razor blade, sometimes having to shave twice a day. I purchased my Panasonic Wet/Dry shaver after reading the reviews, and I'm certainly pleased with it. I use it wet and it gives me a faster shave than my old electric shaver and afterward my face feels as smooth as it did when I used a blade razor -- only no razor burn. After a few shaves, I was so pleased, that I ordered another Panasonic ES4026NC for my son, who has a heavier beard than mine, and has never found a dry electric shaver adequate for his beard.Customer Review: An affordable, quiet shaver

This shaver has quiet operation, blade is sharp. It has a close shave and accommodates my face pretty well even the first time. An 8 hour charge will give me 7 shaves. However, the battery dies down without much notice. It's a trouble if that's in the middle of a shave. So it's better to have another standby shaver. Also, since the you need to put the shaver on the charger, you can't do anything until the charge is finished. One more thing, it has a NiCd battery, which has memory effect. The number of shave is going to decrease over time. Well, for a $[...] buck shaver, I don't think we can expect much. I bought this shaver after experiencing a cardiac "event" and it was recommended to move to an electric. As a predominantly "shower shaver", a wet/dry was my shaver of choice. After researching and reading reviews on numerous options I decided on the ES4026NC. I had owned a first generation Panasonic wet/dry shaver. I considered price, features, and ergonomics. First, it was delivered within the time frame promised. The shaver itself is light, thus easy to handle. Its ergonomic shape is well balanced. The shave is close with no irrition. The ES4026NC is easy to maintain and recharge. For the cost, along with the free shipping this is a great choice.Customer Review: Intermediate Curve

My first impression of this shaver was wow!! It really got the job done. It delivered an extremely close shave, which was rather surprising because of my course hair. It is easy to clean which is also a big plus. But I soon discovered it loses a lot of its effectiveness very quick. I have been left with patches of hair untouched after numerous go overs. Also, the charger could have been designed better. It is bulky and does not sit in the electrical outlet well when the shaver is attached. It can be used when wet but I find it more effective on dry skin. Overall, while there is room for lots of improvement, it is a fairly good shaver for the price.Customer Review: Pretty Good

I've been using electric shavers since I was 16 yo and I am always in the market for a great shaver. I purchased this shaver as a back up, just in case. Having owned this shaver for about a month now, I have to say it is very good.
The shaver is very quiet and it tends to cut pretty close. It feels sturdy, not like some cheap shavers that are just plastic. This thing seems pretty solid. I was pleasantly surprised with this shaver.
I'm still somewhat of a Braun guy and I think they make the best overall electric shavers, but this Panasonic is good. And for the price, it's almost impossible to find a better deal.
