Probably not worth what I paid for it. You're going to have to do alot of back and forth work to get a decent shave out of it. Don't try and shave your neck or you're gonna get some razor burn. Actually shaves better dry than wet. I'm on my 3rd blade so far and shaving quality is average to below average. I've owned about 6 electric shavers. Best one I've had yet was a Remington I bought back in the 80's. Only problem is that I can't find the replacement blades and screen for it anymore and when its' running it sounds like I triggered an alarm at a military base.
On the positive side it looks futuristic.

I started using an electric shaver about 7 years ago, I've had this one for 1 month. This is the 3rd one that I have owned and it is the best. The shave is close, it is smooth and doesn't bother my sensitive skin. I have not even used the cleaning station yet. Why bother? All I have to do is a quick clean with some liquid soap. There is a paper that came with the shaver that even says that. I have done that for years anyway because it is so easy. This shaver had great reviews and does just what it is supposed to, it gives a great close shave. I would suggest this shaver. This is my second Vortex shaver. My last one lasted only about one and a half years before giving problems, poor shave very noisy and erratic motor speed. At first they give a great shave which is why I have bought the same shaver again, probably the best shave I have ever had and I have tried Remington and Braun before. I had always used the cleaning system but still ran into problems with performance. Even with this new shaver I feel that I get better performance if I do not use the cleaning system but follow their advice for the alternative cleaning method. In short, great shave don't expect it to last though.Customer Review: boyfriend loves it

and i love kissing him now that his face is smooth. he had a self-cleaning braun razor that seemed good at the time, but does not hold a candle to this guy. it's wet dry, so you can use it in the shower, with shaving cream, producing such a clean, smooth shave.
he also loves the tacky charging/drying station (even though it takes up a lot of space on the counter and puts on laser show if i ever wander in at night). the design could not be more stereotypically male, equal parts sports car and gi joe. and the box describes the shaver as "linear" and "curve" all in one breath. foofy but fun.

I ordered this new shaver for my husband based on other reviews and I needed a multi-surface shaver. My husband has course whiskers and a mostly bald/shaved head. He had used a Braun for about 10 years. He was really pleased with the performance over his face but wasn't expecting much difference on his head. He was wrong. This shaver performed great on his face and smoothed his tender head like a champ!
What do I as his wife, appreciate the most? QUIET!!! This shaver is very quiet compared to his Braun shaver. It's really just a hummmmmm.
Would I recommend it? ABSOLUTELY!
