I have shaved with a Gillette razor for the last 21 years. I have suffered with razor burn, in grown hairs and cuts. I tried a rotary razor and that was nothing short of torture. When I heard about the Panasonic wet dry razor, and read the Amazon reviews I rolled the dice and bought one.
As of today I've used it 3 times and I am in love with it! They say it takes 30 days to get your beard to adjust to the razor but just after 3 days I'm 80% there.
Tough beard? I've got the toughest. I have a thick beard with course hair. The hair also likes to grow close to the skin so I've been especially susceptible to cuts, razor burn and in grown hair. On top of that my beard grows in 4 different directions. I never thought I could get away from scraping but this Shaver is the best.
What works for me so far is to use Shaving creme, not gel, and put a thin layer on. Just enough to lubricate. I shave after I get out of the shower. I've tried it in the shower but get better results in front of the mirror.
The features are good. Very quick charge, nice design ergonomically, I like the turbo clean mode as well. You can clean this under the faucet with soap. The cleaner stand can be used 1x wk. I highly recommend this Shaver to anyone trying to get away from shaving with a razor.

If you want to forget having problems shaving this razor is for you. I have always had problems shaving. So much to the extent of shaving every other day to give me time to let my face recover. I have always had to deal with ingrown hairs and burns. I held optimism that one day I would find the razor to take my pain away. Trying the most expensive disposable razors like the Mach and being satisfied that was the best I would get. It didn't just stop at razors but with shave gels. On a quest to find something that would sooth my face. My search was endless. I decided to invest in this razor in hopes it would be the answer. After one use I knew my face was in heaven. Now after having it for nearly two months my face is free of all burning and ingrown hairs. I don't get notorious bumps on my neck and my face is smooth. This razor is perfect and it cleans itself. I can go one week(six or seven uses) without charging. I only use this razor in the shower. It works perfectly for me and I can only hope for many more months of great shaves. i have very very sensitive skin, making shaving a once or twice a week venture for me at most. when i tried shaving every day with an electric razors i would literally bleed from my pores....it hurt, it burned, it created ingrown hairs..... this with both a braun and a norelco that i tried.
so after reading a few reviews on this i thought, this is it, if this one doesn't work i'll know that i'll just have to be scruffy for the rest of my life. i bought it and got it a week and change ago....
i have shaved every day since i got this thing. every single day. no bleeding, minimal bumping, and a close enough shave to keep me happy. close as a blade? no - at least when i use it dry (haven't tried wet/shaving cream yet). but who cares?!?!?! i can shave daily again! i even skipped a day this last weekend and had no problem with the longer beard hairs.
it's quiet, the trimmer works fine, and charges quickly as well.
so like i said above, stop reading this and other reviews - just scroll up and buy it.

I will try to keep this short and to the point... Was a razor guy, tried a few Braun razors 6-10 years ago. Went back to the razors and was just tired of getting the cuts, nicks and terrible razor burn on my neck.
I used to shave in the shower with standard Mach3 razors...shower steam helped the razor burn, but still had a tough time with it quite often. My wife and I discussed it and we read all the reviews and MAN am I glad I got this razor.
I have had NO nicks or cuts and have NO razor burn at all. I still shave in the shower with Neutrogena shave cream (like a cream) and love the way the razor shaves. Comfortable to hold, very quiet, comfortable on my face and "flexible" enough to get those impossible spots under your jaw bone on your neck.
The cleaning and charging system is great. Simple ad fairly quick. I charge/clean it on Saturday nights and it is fully charged for the whole week with plenty of battery left over...could maybe make 2 weeks if I had to.
2 THUMBS up on this one...

I've never liked these cordless razors, my fathers norelco years and years ago would shave you but i always thought of it as more of a trimmer than an actual shave compared to a regular razor shave.
Recently though due to my schedule i have been increasingly busy and thought i would give one of these a shot in case i ever needed a quick shave in the car.
This device is incredible, not only is this the lexus of shavers, it shaved me so damn close that my shave looks as if i had wet shaved with shaving cream and a razor, and this was dry, so i can imagine that a wet shave with a little lather would be incredibly smooth! As it is, the first time i used it, it did leave my face incredibly smooth!
I was unsure when i bought this if it was worth the price, but believe me, this shaver is not your fathers old shaver. This thing is perfect, and to top it all off, it even cleans, charges, and dry's itself! Perfect!
10 out of 10.
I just hope it lasts.
