Customer Reviews of Panasonic EV2510K Easy Reach Roller and Point Hand Held Massager, Black/GreenCustomer Review: Overview of IV2510K Summary: 4 Stars
Just recieved based on 3 reviews. The rubber rollers on the top are a new sensation. Just don't use on a bare "hairy" back and have your wife roll sideways...YEOWCH! The rollers grab hairs because they are a softer than harder rubber, not plastic. I personally felt as a self-use item, it worked very well on my lower back and feet and shoulders. It is a little awkward for two person use, due to it's contours. Regular massagers don't have wheels, so you can go in any direction, because of the wheels, your partner can only roll up and down and therefore has to be in perfect position to align this. I personally didn't like the little triangular thing for "pointing". There is also a smooth 3 nub fixed plastic area on the top you can also use for rubbing. There is a bend area that you can see from the picture where the band is. This allows the unit to have a bit of flexibility, however, it does not bend all the way, it has a stopping point, which is good for not cracking the thing in half. All in all, it's a good unit. No heat, wierd look, decent results. N-Joy!
Customer Review: Sending it back Summary: 2 Stars
Panasonic is always a good name to rely on, but this massager is just not for me. I ordered it partly because of the brand name, but mostly for that peculiar little hook, which I was hoping would dig into this one spot on the top of my shoulder, which I press into with my thumb for pain relief.
Hard to tell in the picture, but this machine is really huge and too heavy and cumbersome for me to use. I have a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder, and I normally wake up at 2 or 3 a.m. in a lot of pain. Because it is my right shoulder, I have to use the massager with my left hand, and it is really very awkward for me. Plus, that little hook does not quite fit into that painful spot on top of my shoulder. Also, it is quite noisy, although I imagine that is a situation with most of this type of product.
Am ordering, instead, a smaller cordless version in another brand, and will keep on trying until I find the one that helps dispel the pain that wakes me up in the middle of the night.
Customer Review: Guy's Best Friend Summary: 4 Stars
Okay, let's see if I can write this review so as not to offend Amazon's fastidious editors... Guys, if you want a plug-in massager that will please your wife or girl friend, the Hitachi Magic Wand is what you need. However -- gals, if you want a plug-in massager that will please your husband or boy friend -- the Panasonic EV2510K is the one! Why? Because the Panasonic is more powerful than the Hitachi, and its hard plastic roller head is better suited to a man's, um, contours. In addition, the Panasonic is quiet and causes no video interference, a selling point in case you augment your "massage" sessions with some video stimulation... The only reason I don't give the Panasonic five stars is that previous "Panabrators" have proven less than reliable; typically they seem to last about a year before they conk out. Still, get an EV2510K, and you'll have a most enjoyable year!
Customer Review: solid Summary: 4 Stars
This is a solid well conceived and manufactured massager. It takes all the days pain out of my feet in about 5 minutes which is worth the price alone. Designed with a pronounced hook that is best on self massaging your shoulders, the hook is not so great that it makes massaging others difficult. The 2 front wheels keep it from abraiding clothing and are good for rolling up and down the back. This is best done sitting and reaching over the shoulders. The lower back can be reached holding it with both hands on the same side. It has 2 speeds which are a little slower than the last one I had, these are OK for me and better for my wife. The green is too bright but I can overlook it.
Customer Review: Works Great for the Money Summary: 4 Stars
Compared to all the other junk massagers on the market, this is a very good deal for the money. It actually works well and is quite diverse in its applications. You can lightly massage or press down and roll for a more aggressive and deeper massage. The neck bends nicely to accommodate the pressing down motion. The roller head could be larger though to cover more surface area in one sweep (like the older version). If you're looking for a good and affordable, but not extremely aggressive massager (like the Thumper II), this is the baby. I like owning both the Panasonic and Thumper II to address different degrees of muscle stiffness.
