I bought this monitor for my mom and tried on myself first before passing it on. There is quite some change if I am sitting instead of lying as instructed. But when I measure the pressure in a supine position the results were fairly consistent and accurate (similar results as the one wrapping the upper arm). Overall I am pleased with this monitor.Customer Review: unreliable

I purchased this item in December 05. After many consecutive readings I found this unit to render several readings that were inaccurate. Both systolic and diastolic readings were off by as many 30/40. For one whom has hypertension I would suggest that they not depend on this item to accurately read their blood pressure.Customer Review: Stress Be-Gone!

My son is in need of a kidney transplant and also fights High Blood Pressure has found that this device really helps him manage his BP medications. This is good one at reasonble price.
But I found that some times it is showing high reading which is very scary
and more over there will be huge variations in reading depending on the hand position.
In the right position of hand it is giving consistent and good readings.

I really liked the design and size of the unit, but it was just not accurate. I have been monitoring my blood pressure for years and it has never been low. This unit gave me low readings most of the time. I liked the readings, but I know they were not true.
