Customer Review: These are a ripoff, use hydrogen peroxide

These cartridges look like something Panasonic added to their charger/washer in order to make a few extra bucks. I decided to try an alternative: hydrogen peroxide.
After your first included cartridge is 'used up' (the soap only lasts a few weeks before it gets smelly), just fill empty out the reservoir and fill it with hydrogen peroxide (which you can get at the drugstore for a dollar or two a bottle). I've gone through a few cycles with the peroxide and it works great - the razor head is just as clean, if not more clean, than with the soap, which always made it smell kind of mildewed.

The Panasonic WES035P Vortex is not nearly as good as the reviewers say it is. Surely, the razor does OK on the face but the big problem is that it does not shave closely on the neck or jaw, wet or dry. It does a barely adequate job and I still have to take a blade to shave my neck and jaw to the usual smoothness.
I have a normal beard, nothing heavy. The noise factor is not a problem
Do not buy this razor based upon the reviews. It might be OK for some faces but not mine. When I can afford it, I will purchase a higher end Panasonic.

Basically, you do have to replace these things, if you don't your razor will start to stink to high heaven. I keep my razor pretty clean with just liquid soap and running it under the water, however when using with the cleaning solution cartridge it does seem to make it work a little better as though it also lubes the blades. I stretch the cartridge out as long as I can and use it every two to three days when the razor doesn't seem to work as good or the battery is down to 30% or so. I own both the Braun and the Panasonic self cleaning shavers. The Panasonic works best for me. The cleaning cartridges are a better design than the Braun being water based rather than alcohol based. Less toxic for the environment, less weight and cost to ship, easier to dispose of, and bottom line, do a better job of cleaning the shaver because of the built in filtration system in the cleaning cartridge. Shaver looks and smells brand new every morning and shaves as close as a blade. Well done Panasonic!Customer Review: Great product works well

I just purchased the panasonic nano 8109s a while ago. This is definately a step up from my old es8043, although both seem bullet proof.
If you was the turbo option with dishwashing liquid , in warm water, then do the cleaning in your bin, the cartridge should last months, depending on how heavy of beard you have.
I use a new fusion hard blade sometimes, but this is close, and over the long run, a money saver.
Easy to change out.
Highly recommend.
