After receiving this diffuser I was highly disappointed to learn I could barely smell the oil, but it seems that was the least of my problems. I set the oil filled diffuser on a table and within two days my husband noticed a problem with the diffuser. It had completely leaked out through a small, barely noticeable crack in the wood. The oil completely covered the wood of my table and although I cleaned it very well there is still a lighter "cloud" shape on the wood. I am hoping my father can sand it out and we can revarnish the table. However that will take a lot out of the resale because the table is an antique and has never had any other facelifts. I realized that this is also my fault as I should have put the thing on something that it could not ruin. However I honestly did not think it would do what it did. Although diffusers are nice, and my mom uses them quite effectively I have found the best way to go for making your home smell good and creating a cozy feeling at the same time is by using stick incense. My plan is to find proper scents for every room of the house. The smell lingers for days and the smoke does not bother you at all (believe me I would know as I have a ton of allergies!) I would have to end with advising those that want diffusers to try and stick with the more solid containers such as glass, or ceramics. My mom uses those and they do smell nicely in her house. irishbookfairy
