I wanted to get a unit ever since I saw it at a Health food store. But the price was a little high for such a unit. Luckily yesterday I found it on sale for much less at GNC $19.99.
I have it turned on while it sits on my home office desk sans light show and also added about 5 drops of Vanilla essential oil. It does the job. However, as others have mentioned, it does have a fairly audible humming sound. As for humidfying properties, I don't know how well it will do. It is after all sitting on my desk and misting towards me during the day. If I were looking for something to humidify a bigger room I would definitley consider get a better unit solely for humidifying purposes and also consider getting a warm mist humidifier.
Would I buy this unit again? At the lower price yes! It would be a great gift for some one as well to use in their office. Would I buy it at full price for $30? No way....

I got this because I didn't want to create a jungle environment in my room. When I read the other reviews they were right about the noise; it sounds just like a CD drive!
It's not annoying though, it's consistant and doesn't bother me or my sleeping baby. The humidifier function is not very noticeable, definitely recommend like other reviewers to turn on a few hours before bed and keeping a container of distilled water at hand if the need to refill in the early hours arises. Great for a small room, perfect for a desk or personal space. Lasts about 3-4 hours.
The unit is pretty small, approx the size of a large jar of pickles +!
When you switch on the light option the colors are really fun and have a smooth transition, makes a small room quite funky!
You can switch it off, it has three way option slide on the bottom...LIGHTS-MIST ONLY-OFF

This works really well, it gives a lovely scent ( you put in drops of liquid oil scents for it and use your own choice, it comes with lavender, not my favorite, so I use others) and the lovely colors as it changes from color to color. I keep it in my main bathroom downstairs and its great. I received as a gift and would buy one and gift it out to others too if occasion arises since its pretty cool. I have to refill it once twice daily with water as is required, but the nice thing is the steam that comes into the room from the water is scented so its way better than running a candle and putting up with all the waxy mess and the eventual demise of your candle, this thing is like everready bunny and just needs water and some scented oil to keep on running and running. Definitely a must have if you like aromatherapy and enjoy colored lights to soothe you.Customer Review: Poor Quality

I'm sorry to give a negative review, but I'm afraid this product deserves it. I ordered the Pearlessence Spa Mist Air and was unpleasantly surprised by the cheap quality of the plastic used to construct this thing. The price was great, but it just wasn't worth it and I returned it. I can't recommend this at all.
I've used a different ultrasonic diffuser in the past that was absolutely fantastic! You can see a similar product on amazon by doing a find for the Ultrasonic Misting DIFFUSER by Young Living (which I'm sorry to say is way overpriced). I think there's one Japanese company that makes these units, and then different companies take the units and brand them for themselves. I wish Amazon carried one of these at a reasonable price because I would order one in a heartbeat. They are high quality and work fabulously.

I received this as a gift and have been using it for a week with a variety of essential oils. I especially like the ability to choose lighted or unlighted operation as it makes use during the day a little more economical. The color change lights are really a pleasant and relaxing feature that I am glad to enjoy in the evening. The diffuser is easy to fill and use and operates easily. Just plug in or push the switch on the bottom. Only a couple of drops of any oil you like will usually be enough. The size and shape of the mister fits into most environments. I place it on a small table near an indoor plant so it can get the benefits of extra moisture. This unit is small and runs only for a few hours, but it turns itself off automatically which is enough for me to scent the room with one of my favorite oils.
