I had to return the item because besides looking real cheap (silver painted plastic top, plastic container, the water level mark is just a red line made with marker, and not even a permanent one, so it disappears after an hour) it worked only sporadically. It misted for some time, then stopped. When shaking the unit or unplugging and reconnecting, it might start misting again. The output is so low that the great lavender oil I bought was almost not noticeable. The only thing that worked flawless was the color changing lights. I now use the aromatherapy oils in my warm mist humidifier and the results are so much better.
Amazon's return policy is really great! I was prepared to pay for shipping but they provide you with a prepaid label to return items. Thumbs up!!!

I just got my Thera Mist Air Therapy Fountain Mister today and love it! I was looking for something to diffuse essential oils without the need to heat them up or use a fan to disperse them. I looked at other fountain misters, but leaned towards this one because my main use would be for diffusing oils rather then for aesthetics. Another advantage of this unit is you can mist without having to run the lights at the same time. I have read many a review about similar fountain misters that stop working in a short time so only time will tell. If it does stop working abnormally soon I will post a follow-up. After looking at nebulizers that all seemed to be in the $100.00+ range and look like something Cheech and Chong would smoke out of I went with the $20.00 Thera Mist.Customer Review: Awesome Buy

I purchased this fountain, to help recover from back surgery. I am very thankful for this little device. It has helped with moisture in the air, and kept my bedroom from smelling like a hospital. I really was able to use this to help with me to relax, which I believe, has helped me use less pain meds, and I have recovered very well.
I now use this mister just about every day. I fill it with water, put a couple of drops of scented oil, that I bought at the same time from Amazon, plug it in, and turn it on. When it runs out of water it automatically turns off, so I don't worry about it overnight. I would recommend this mister to anyone who wants to sleep better, or if you just want to use it as a night light the light show is very relaxing.

I have used this for over a year, and love it. It adds minimal moisture to the air, but does a great job dispersing essential oils. While this is meant for a small room, I use it in our family room which is fairly large and it still scents the whole area. The colors are mesmerizing and my children love watching them change, but the motor in the bottom that turns the color wheels is starting to go, causing some terrible grinding sounds. This is sporadic, but a sure sign the motor will quit soon. The motor can be turned off and the unit still produces mist, but without the pretty colors. When the motor does quit, I will buy another one because I think it's reasonable for the motor to be wearing out after the amount of use this has had.Customer Review: Love it!

I saw this in Bath and body works before the holidays and it was $22.00 which was a good price but didnt want to spend any more money at the time and figured id wait till after the holidays and see if it would be on sale and I was right! It was half off for $11.25. I bought two because I had a coupon for 10 dollars off if I spent 30. I figured I would sell the other online or give it away as a gift but after setting up the 1st one and it diffusing the oil so well along with the pretty colors that changed I decided to keep both! I love love love it! It really doesnt make much noise just a soft buzzing sound. I wouldnt say its as loud as a cd rom running as one reviewer stated. I definitely would buy this as a gift. love it!
