I have had one for about 3 years; use it frequently with no problems. Decided I wanted two more, using one in the bedroom, one in the kitchen, and one in the bath area. I have always used distilled water, but the last two purchased didn't like it at first. Filled them with tap water and away they went!! I oouldn't ask for anything more. Gives off wonderful light scents for hours at a time. I just bought my last two at GNC for $14.95. They make a wonderful gift. I really don't understand the reviews that say they are noisy. I didn't buy it for humidifying a room. Don't hesitate. Getting one for my daughter for her birthday now. I feel my house smells so fresh. I use oils from Bath and Bodyworks.Customer Review: good buy for the money

I use thereputic grade oils, if that matters to anyone. They are more likely to react with the plastic and rubber parts of this item, so it's important to rinse it out after you're done. The marker for "max fill" dissapeared after the first use.. I thought that was funny. But it's not an expensive item, so I am impressed with the quality I got for what I paid. It has a very quiet, soothing hum to it. My 2 year old loves to run up to it and "drink" the mist, and the baby LOVES the bright colors.
It doesn't put out a ton of scent, but it diffuses enough oil to help with a cold or allergies. It's going to do just fine for what I bought it for- to get me through until I can afford an ionic diffuser.

I purchased this item for its ease and simplicity and the cost was reasonable as well. I looked forward to having this product in my home spa. I received the item and set it up for first use, it took awhile to get started. I thought it was just the way it worked as the instructions were minimal. The next day I started it up again, and to my dismay it never started. I tried a couple more times to no avail. So I thought that the item I received was defective. I let Amazon know and they promptly shipped me a new one. To my utter dismay the new one performed exactly as the first one! I returned this one for a refund. I was frustrated with my experience and will not purchase items from this manufacturer again.Customer Review: Know what you're buying!

This is a great product if you know what you're getting. The biggest problems people seem to have with this unit relvove around their expectations about what this mister will do. Keep in mind: It is small (as another reviewer mentioned, its the size of a jar of pickles). It only holds a cup of water (enough for only a couple of hours). It cannot humidify large spaces well. Adding too much water will prevent the unit from functioning properly. The fill level indicator will wear away if certain essential oils are used, so make note of the level before it does! Other than these important issues, regular cleaning will ensure the auto-off feature does not malfunction (which would render the unit useless).Customer Review: Just what I wanted

I love the smell of an essential oil in the air. I've tried tealight burners, a smear on a low-burning lamp, and a miniature crockpot designed for aromatherapy. The PearlEssence Spa Mist is absolutely the best ever for diffusing an odor and continuing to diffuse it for an extended period of time. Because I live in a humid climate, I was concerned that misting would only add to mold problems and perhaps mar wooden furniture. The cool mist instantly absorbs even into our air. The light show of the base can be turned off, but I like it most of the time. Product was offered for $10 less than at a well-known local natural market chain, and shipping was free with my order over $25 with other products.
