Customer Review: The Pears soap ingredient Rosin is safe

This review is to dispute the claim in another review that the Pears soap ingredient Rosin is a carcinogen and a mutagen.
Rosin is not listed on any of the carcinogen or other toxicity lists at [...] which include the following: IARC Carcinogens, U.S. NTP Carcinogens, California Prop 65 Known Carcinogens, U.S. EPA Carcinogens, and TRI Carcinogen.
Rosin is also not listed on any of the lists for Acute Toxicity, Endocrine Disruption, Reproductive and Development Toxicity, nor Chemicals of Special Concern.
The Pears soap ingredient list does not specify what wood the rosin is from (i.e., pine, cedar, or other wood). Most rosin is from pine woods, but in case Pears uses cedarwood rosin, I also looked that up.
The MSDS data sheet on cedarwood rosin also states that it has not been listed as a carcinogen: [...]
Contrary to the claims in another review that Rosin is a carcinogen, a recent study (Cancer chemopreventive activity of "rosin" constituents of Pinus spez. and their derivatives in two-stage mouse skin carcinogenesis test. Phytomedicine, Volume 15, Issue 11, Pages 985-992, R. Tanaka, H. Tokuda, Y. Ezaki) , concluded that Rosin was active as an anticarcinogenetic for a specific cancer in tests on mice: "Treatment with rosin (50umol) along with DMBA (100ug)/TPA (1ug) inhibited papilloma formation up to week 8 ... The in vivo two-stage mouse skin carcinogenesis test revealed that rosin possessed a pronounced anticarcinogenetic effect, and its high activity is due to the synergism of the diterpenes contained in it."
Therefore, the claims by another reviewer that Rosin is a carcinogen and mutagen are totally baseless and completely wrong.
I also agree with other reviewers who have stated that Pears soap cleans well without drying out the skin. I have been using Pears soap for many years, and it is the only bar soap I use.
