I purchased this product because I have high arches and occasionally get stress pain in one of my feet from long periods of standing, moving and walking while not wearing shoes (eg: Martial Arts and Taiko drumming.) This product works for me pretty well in general, with occasional adjustment for slippage, particularly when I am carrying weight on my feet (standing, walking.) However, if I am off my feet, it can actually at times feel too tight, and so I then remove it.
From reading the reviews others have posted, I see that having to deal with "one size fits most" is probably a legitimate concern. The product that was delivered to me, which I rather like, could feel quite painfully tight on someone with larger or wider feet than mine. (Note: I wear women's size 8.5 shoes, and my feet are rather narrow and bony.) In addition, other reviews have led me to believe that there may be issues with consistency of sizing across the product line - some product samples may be wider or narrower.
I like the fact that this is sold as a single item for one foot, although perhaps there should be a "pair bundle" for people who prefer that. When I myself experience arch pain, it is usually only in one foot - the other one does not require treatment.
I also feel that this product appears to be sometimes rather overpriced. The price offered here, $8.74 with free shipping, is "OK", but only if one is buying only one package. Otherwise, the best price I have found here on Amazon.com was just under $5, which was a better deal (even with a $5.xx shipping cost) if purchasing multiple packages. I personally think this product should be worth around $5, given the materials and construction involved - some market competition could help in this regard. Your local Walmart may offer an even better deal than an online purchase as well.
Note: some other sellers on Amazon claim this product comes in specific sizes (I have found NO evidence from the manufacturer that it does!!) and they charge $23.78 - I believe that is a complete SCAM. Buyer beware!
