Customer Reviews of PediFix Arch Bandage

Customer Review: I found it helpful
Summary: 4 Stars

By itself the Arch Bandage is not a magic solution. I found it to be a sometimes helpful addition to massage and tinkering with my shoes, insoles, and activities. By stabilizing the forefoot it seems to decrease the stress on the ligament pulling on the injury at the heel spur. That's the theory. Having recently had some busy shifts with a lot of time on my feet, I found that I experienced much less reinjury wearing the Arch Bandage than when I had previously put similar demands on my feet without it.
The Arch Bandage is a little bit uncomfortable in itself, and it can get progressively more uncomfortable with a prolonged session of wearing it. There is no theraputic value to having it on while you are at rest. If you can take a load off your feet, it is best to remove it and massage your foot. The value appears to be in preventing or decreasing some reinjury when I must be on my feet.
The Arch Bandage may not be helpful if your foot problem is significantly different from mine.
I found the Pedifix Arch Bandage available in one Wal-Mart but not another. Several drug stores I checked did not have it.

Would it be better to make a beeline to the podiatrist? Maybe. I would suggest asking around for recommendations. It seems like there are a lot of people who have had foot problems and a variety of experiences with podiatrists. Some devices are more lucrative than useful.

Customer Review: Highly recommended
Summary: 5 Stars

My arches collapsed last year due to health issues, and I had already bought and was using arch support insoles when I decided to try these out. I had thought the insoles were a great idea... but these are by far the better deal.

They're quick and easy to slip on, and hug your foot properly. The best part about it is that you can slip socks on and put on ANY pair of shoes w/o worrying about what's going to happen to your arches. I'm just glad I didn't go ahead and outfit each pair of my shoes with their own insoles. This is a cheap, simpler alternative that works with any footwear you have. On top of that, you can wear these without shoes if you're on your feet at home all day.

The only thing I'd have to say is a drawback is that each package only contains ONE bandage - but hey, for the price for 2, you're set for every situation. Just make sure to order 2 items. Also, they just need to be dropped in the laundry to be clean, so you really don't need more than one pair.

Lastly, and most importantly, I have arches again! My feet are NO longer flat, and I know the stress on the body from having flat feet has now dramatically lessened. What's amazing is how quickly my arches came back after wearing these bandages. I highly recommend this product.

Customer Review: Ok but look for a better option

I've had plantar fasciitis for about 7 years now. I get more arch pain than heel pain usually. These serve their purpose but do not hold up well over time. They came one bandage per package, so I would have to buy two each time, because as they say, even if you have issues in only one foot, you should treat both to prevent overstressing the good foot. Although these are a one-size-fits-all, they aren't exactly sized right. One bandage would be tighter than the other. The loose one would fall and I would have to constantly readjust during the day. One day I was wearing crocs, and the bandage slipped completely off my foot. The slipping/mis-sizing causes other issues besides annoyance - if you don't have a chance to adjust, then you'll start favoring the side that needs to be adjusted, causing more stress on the other foot. Besides the sizing issue, these are just elastic and will wear out - the more you wear them, the faster they go. The negatives aside, these have served their purpose for me, but I'm tired of having to replace them every few months and worrying about whether or not I'd pick up two packages that were made the same. I'm looking for a better option at this point.

Customer Review: these things are for sale!
Summary: 5 Stars

I got slammed with the plantar F and with the help of searching the web for remedies, stretching, taking it easy, stop running till it heals and wearing one of these elastic bands around my foot and also avoiding a dr. whom would probably prescribe some goofy shoe inserts and basically managing my malady instead of curing it, ie. bill my insurance.... Before getting the arch bandage I wrapped duct tape around my sock moderately tight but not too...a tip I picked up on the web from a fellow sufferer. I work on my feet 12 hrs a day and this thingy really does make a difference, if it didn't I would not waste my time using it every day I work and is better and much easier to use than duct tape...but try the tape thing if you can't get your hands on one of these just yet...plantar F condition getting much better, day by day, hope to be back in running shoes in a month or so, i hope. ...don't forget to stretch!

Customer Review: After Years of Trying Other Types, These are FABULOUS for Flat Feet!
Summary: 4 Stars

My sister has had flat feet for many, many years. She is now 50 years old and is just beginning to feel the rath of what flat feet can be like in one's older years. She has tried all kinds of different arch supports, including those wedge style supports found at Ebay for flat feet. I bought these bandages for her to try, and paid $3.98 for each one at Walmart. What a deal. And, to my amazement, my sister said she is feeling TERRIFIC now because of these bandages. She's been wearing them for nearly 4 months now, every single day, and not once have they slipped off her feet or stretched out to where they no longer hold their shape. Simply wash them in warm soapy water, air dry them, and they bounce right back in original shape. If anything will work for flat/fallen arches, these are IT! 1000+ STARS to this manufacturer!!!
