Customer Review: Great concept, poor execution

I have been dealing with IBS for many years now - and was excited to come across a line of products specifically for an illness that I had and thought I was kinda alone with. However, while I learned the positive use of peppermint oil for treating my symptoms from this product and company, I am sad to say that I won't be buying any more of these pills. Here is why:
1. I have acid reflux issues, so I was excited that these pills supposedly went through the stomach before opening. Yay me. I had tried just regular peppermint pills and they KILLED me on the acid reflux. So, when I found these, I thought the problem was solved. Only, it ended up being a crapshoot. Sometimes, they would work just fine and would not open in my stomach - so, no peppermint burping and no acid reflux attacks. The other half the time, they would go off in my stomach and I was in for several hours of discomfort. I followed the directions and took without food. I thought that I was crazy, or the instructions were wrong, so I took with food. Neither mattered.
2. Several of the pills ended up coming open in the bottle, gumming all of them together. Could be one of the reason they would fail and open in my stomach all the time...but, it does show how fragile they can be.
For pills that are several dollars more than similar products, I was surprised at the poor quality of manufacturing.
I do like a lot of Heather's other products, especially the fiber and the fennel tea. Both of those products are great and I have had no issues with them. This product, however is a dud at least 1/2 the time...so, I am trying out other brands to see if I can find something better.
