This is original strength Pepto-Bismol in a convenient package of four 12-oz bottles. The maximum daily dose is 8 ounces so two of these 12 oz bottles would cover a 3-day bout of diarrhea and the pack overall would cover at least 6 days of illness. This econcomy 2-pack Pepto-bismol Original 2pack, 32 ounces Bottle is likely to be a better price per dose.
Keep in mind that you should stop use and contact your doctor if diarrhea lasts more than two days according to the package directions. Maximum strength Pepto-Bismol contains twice as much of the active ingredient (Bismuth Subsalicylate) but the maximum daily dose of that formulation is 4 oz. Pepto-Bismol is also availble in tablets Pepto-Bismol Upset Stomach Reliever/Antidiarrheal Chewable Tablets, Cherry Flavor, 48-Count Boxes (Pack of 3) and caplets (2 tablets per dose of either) which some may prefer to the classic liquid.
