I moved from California to the Pacific Northwest. Every year near February or March I would have to take anti-depressants for about 2 months. This year I looked for another way to get through "Spring" in Astoria. I came across the goLITE just browsing the Costco coupon book! I thought it was worth a try. I love it. I plug it in at my desk when I get to work and keep it on for 30 minutes. No one has complained! Sometimes others will even stand near it for a few minutes. If you are considering this light, I do recommend it.

The goLITE is the very best. I avoided having to go on medication this winter. The first time in many years! The fact that it is so small has also made it really easy to travel with. I also recently saw some new studies from Harvard talking about how blue light raises alertness for anyone. I paid full price for this from the manufacturer and think it is worth every penny.
I am sorry to hear about the quality issues with this product. Obviously, mine has worked perfectly for over 8 months, or I might be grumpy too!

I have used light therapy for years to combat my SAD, but this year has been so much better than before. I bought this device in order to try blue light therapy for a change of pace and because I wanted something smaller than the huge box I had been using before. The unit worked perfectly from the very beginning. I have since recommended it to several friends and family members, all of whom have had the same experience as I had.
I highly recommend this device if you have SAD.

I'm still trying to figure out the best method for using it in my life -- if I use it too late in the morning I've noticed I get a bit manic! So, I'm working with the schedule of it all, but I really really like the light. I was a bit leary because it is so small compared to traditional light boxes -- It's about the size of a portable cd player -- but WOW it works. I'm very happy and very happy I ordered via Amazon. Wow, what an incredible difference this light has made in my life. You know when you have one of the days when you wake up in a mood? You sit in front of this light for 30 minutes and your mind is transformed.
I was looking for an alternate to taking medication for my mood swings and mild depression due to menopause and this is truly the answer. This blue light therapy has made an incredible difference in the way I am able to function.
