Customer Reviews of Philips GoLite P1 Blue Spectrum Light Therapy DeviceCustomer Review: Poorly built, unreliable junk! Don't waste your money! Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased this unit a month ago. In fact, I bought three in succession -- none of them worked. First unit I bought had two LEDs which didn't light. At this price, I brought it back an exchanged it. I plugged the second unit into an outlet to test it out before leaving the store -- it also had two LEDs which didn't light. I should have known better by then, but I exchanged this second unit for a third one, which seemed to work. It took merely a week's use for two of the LEDs to stop functioning. Now, some 20 days later, the entire unit stopped functioning -- no display, will not light. Three units out of three purchased were defective out of the box or died within less than a month. I am now going to go return it for good and will purchase some other brand of light therapy device. Unless you want to risk wasting 200$, I'd recommend that you do the same. Luckily, I'd actually purchased the product at a local store, otherwise I'd have had to go through the hassle of mailing all the defective units back to Amazon, as well.

Customer Review: Poorly built Summary: 1 Stars
I really wish I could share a great story about how the light therapy has changed my life. Unfortunately the only thing I learned about light therapy over the last couple of weeks is that most of the cost must be in research. For this price, you would think that you had something that was well built. My guess is that soldering connections are done poorly.
The first unit I received worked for about 5 minutes. That is how long the batter must have lasted from the factory charge because when I plugged the charger in, nothing happened. I cheked the charger with a voltmeter and it was working, so the issue was an internal connection.
The second unit worked for about 20 minutes before all the lights begain to flicker. If you tapped it, they would come back on, but after a few times, they were just all gone.
The product comes with a two year warrantee, but nobody wants something that is going to have to be sent back every other week.
Customer Review: Amazing results from such a small device Summary: 5 Stars
I did a lot of research on full-spectrum lights and most were big and bulky. Then I came across the Apollo GoLite P1. It was small, compact, and used blue lights (not what the others used) so I wasn't sure it would get the job done. I was wrong. This thing is amazing!
I bought the light for my wife who gets "grumpy" (her words) on cloudy winter days and even grumpier during long stretches without sunlight. After using the GoLite for just a few days, she told me that while she didn't feel like she had more energy like the literature about the GoLite said, she definitely didn't feel "grumpy" -- something we're both happy about. She spends about 15 minutes each morning in front of the device while she checks her email and that's enough to make a huge difference.
I highly recommend the GoLite to anyone who suffers from winter "grumpiness".
Customer Review: Caution, SAD sufferers, full-spectrum works better for me Summary: 1 Stars
I have used the original Apollo Light, full spectrum/10,000 lux for around 10 years, and it always amazed me how well it worked. Even this year, I began to have difficulty waking up in the morning, and my depression set in, at the end of September. I began using my 10,000 lux, and the next day, I woke up more easily, and felt better. I decided to try the GoLite Blue, because of the claims in the ad, that it was so much better. When it arrived, I loaned the old one to a friend, as I began to use the new one. Well, my previous improvement declined. I got depressed, again, and with difficulty waking in the morning. So, I resumed using the full spectrum light, and feel better again. Here is the link to the one I used beforeApollo Health briteLITE 6. Good luck; depression sucks!!!
