Customer Review: good value, works, skip expensive shavers

This is my second electric shaver and it definitely performs better than my first one (a Remington rechargeable foil shaver). Shaving with this Norelco is thorough even in hard-to-reach areas. This is probably as close as electric shaving can get. Blades shave a bit closer, but there is the mess and the occasional nicks.
This shaver may slightly irritate your skin, but again I have yet to know of a shaving device that won't. Overall I am satisfied with it and I don't plan to use blades again in the future. It's also a good value. I really doubt fancier models can perform better.

Philips Norelco has no grasp of the concept of customer service. They are unable to answer a simple question regarding their own product. They are unwilling to lift a finger to try to find out the answer or assist a customer in any way. I guess it hasn't dawned on them that their income comes from customers and that customers who are treated rudely will not continue to buy their products.
As for the product itself, it's nothing special. Short corded, half A'd shaver. Lot's of companies make them, some for less. Some probably even have customer service.

This unit replaced a perhaps 8 or 10 year old Norelco razor that I hadn't changed the blades on ever.
Compared to my old Norelco, this one is much much quieter. It's almost silent. The heads can pivot, as well as be "pushed in". After the second shave, I found that the shave was very smooth, and the shaver is so flexible in it's "floating heads" design that I barely felt as if I was shaving hair at all.
There's nothing shoddy or yesterday about this razor...I will use this candy blue Norelco for years to come.

I ordered the Norelco 6423LC Corded Reflex Action Shaver, a "special series" order and instead was sent a standard 6900 Series. Could have bought what they sent for 50% less.
This merchant didn't even have the courtesy to ask if I would accept a substitute. When I called I was told "too bad" - "take it or leave it"!
Now they are arguing about taking it back. I have to now dispute the charge through my credit card. They are SWINDLERS! AMAZON WAS NO HELP EITHER! I did not want ot give any stars as a reviewer but it makes you put a least one!

my old Norelco finaly died on me after 8 years just befor christmas. I needed a new razor in a hurry and couldn'ts pend much as I had just finished my christmas shopping. Well I came across this Norelco here on amazon. Seemed to have good reviewsk, I bought it and had it 2 days later. I haven't had a problem at all, it works just fine. I've been an electric razor user for years so didn't need to adjust to anything. This one is much quieter than the old one. If you're looking for a low priced electric, don't hesitate to put this one in your shopping cart.
